SPC Álvarez, an Infantryman (11B), proudly serves as an example to his son, PVT Kevin Álvarez, a high school senior from Aibonito, Puerto Rico, who is beginning his military journey as a Technical Engineer (12T).

‼️Welcome to Luis A. Vega Ramos to the Puerto Rico Army National Guard‼️

It is a pleasure to welcome Luis A. Vega Ramos to our ranks in the Puerto Rico Army National Guard, where he joins us as a Combat Engineer Specialist (MOS 12B). His commitment and decision to serve our country are commendable and reflect a high level of dedication and courage.

Upon joining, Luis has received a $7,500 off-peak bonus and is scheduled to begin his training in January. He also has access to multiple benefits, including a part-time federal job, scholarships and university discounts, and many other opportunities designed to support his professional and personal development.
