A Cargo Deployment Function is a specialized deployment processing activity responsible for preparing, inspecting, documenting, and moving cargo for deployments, exercises, contingencies, and real-world operations.

Hurricane season is almost here🌀☔️

The 156th Wing hosted a Hurricane Response Tabletop Exercise today at Muñiz Air National Guard Base, collaborating with emergency management representatives from the 346th Air Expeditionary Wing, US National Weather Service San Juan Puerto Rico, Aeropuerto Internacional Luis Muñoz Marín - SJU and the Carolina municipality.

This joint agency exercise brought key leadership together to discuss local response plans, recovery operations, and aid capabilities to ensure the safety and security of our service members and communities.

As the upcoming Atlantic hurricane season approaches, which runs from June 1 - November 30, our remain focused on staying prepared and ready to weather any emergency events.

Leaders with the 156th Medical Group recently welcomed FEMA Region II and Department of Health Services representatives to Muñiz Air National Guard Base for a high-impact coordination meeting.

Together, teams from medical, emergency management, and federal partners across Puerto Rico and Region II focused on:

✅ Enhancing interagency support and collaboration
✅ Improving information sharing for hurricane preparedness
✅ Integrating medical response and emergency transportation
✅ Long-term readiness planning

This initiative marks a critical step in building stronger partnerships and expanding opportunities for future collaborations to safeguard our communities this hurricane season and beyond.
