April is Month of the Military Child!

This year’s theme, “National Guard Kids: Your Adventure Starts Here,” highlights their unique journey as part of the military family.

Every Friday during this month, we will be celebrating the creativity and unique stories of our children. Join us by sending your pictures or tagging us on your social media posts following this calendar!

Don't forget to stay tuned all month as we share activities and ways to honor these incredible children!

Every year during April, the Army National Guard Child and Youth Program proudly celebrates the Month of the Military Child (MOMC)—a time to recognize and honor the resilience, sacrifices, and contributions of military-connected children. While military children may not wear a uniform, they serve in their own way, adapting to the challenges and triumphs that come with being part of a military family.

Military children embody strength, adaptability, and a global perspective, shaped by the unique experiences of military life. Whether it’s long deployments or frequent separations from loved ones, they meet these challenges with courage and grace.

Join us in celebration with MOMC by participating in this year’s activities for all families, communities, organizations and individuals!

Purple Up Day Camp!

In honor of the Month of Military Child, our local Child and Youth Program will be hosting a day camp for our PRNG dependents ages 6-18 on Saturday, April 12, 2025. During this day, kids will be going on a road trip from Fort Buchanan to the Centro Criollo de Ciencia y Tecnología del Caribe (C3Tec).

This event is free of charge, and registrations are now open!

Let's get ready for the Month of the Military Child!

April is fast approaching, and we are ready to celebrate in an adventurous, creative, and meaningful way!!

This year, the ARNG Child and Youth Services invites you to participate in our contests embracing the spirit of "Your Adventure Starts Here!" whether it is in a photo, an original backpack, or a special recipe.

Who can participate? Children and youths of all ages!

Deadline? All contests start on April 1st, 2025 and close on May 2nd, 2025.

Merry Christmas!

From all of us at the Puerto Rico National Guard Child and Youth Program, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and trust throughout the year. It has been a privilege to work with and serve you! As we wrap up 2024, we wanted to take a moment to wish you a joyous and prosperous New Year. May 2025 bring blessings, happiness, and love to you and your families! To celebrate, we would love to send you a virtual packet for you to enjoy together as a family: “Let’s Celebrate a New Year with Some Winter Fun!” We hope these activities bring smiles and joy as you ring in the New Year.

YRRP Pre Deployment Event!

Throwback to December 21st... The 1011th EN CO had their Pre Deployment event at Ponce where our Military families were surprised by a special visit from Santa Claus. Children's received gifts as well as participated in various activities related to resilience, good communication, and even created their own "Deployment Buddy"! Happy Holidays!!!🎄☃️🎅🏻

Christmas Day Camp!!! We had so much fun!!! We had Hunt the good stuff activities, ceramic and plastic ornaments painting, Christmas Tote bag painting and so much more!!!

Our CYS Teams is excited to announce that this month's virtual programming activity packet is centered around the theme of **Gratitude**! 🌟 What better way to express gratitude than by giving thanks and showing appreciation for the moments, people, and things that enrich our lives.

Gratitude is a powerful and positive emotion that helps us focus on the good in our lives. It encourages us to reflect on what we have, reminding us to take a moment to appreciate the things that are often overlooked or taken for granted.
