On September 30, 2026, the FBI San Juan Cyber Task Force successfully extradited Rineldys Feliciano Díaz Cuevas and Patricia Joanna Almonte Frías from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico to face federal charges.

These individuals are accused of operating a large-scale sextortion scheme specifically targeting Puerto Rico and involving the victimization of over 1,000 men. To pressure victims, Díaz Cuevas and Almonte Frías, allegedly acted in collaboration with other conspirators, used forged law enforcement documents, and posed as police officers and even FBI agents, threatening arrest and public exposure of manipulated, sexualized images and videos of the male victims unless payments were made.

More details about the scheme can be found here: https://www.justice.gov/usao-pr/pr/two-dominican-republic-nationals-extradited-face-cyberstalking-and-sextortion-conspiracy

If you believe you were victimized by Díaz Cuevas and Almonte Frías, please provide your information and statement using the form below. Your testimony is critical to the ongoing investigation. https://forms.fbi.gov/victims/VictimResponseSpanish/view

During the summer, FBI San Juan showed its dedication to reducing violent crime and improving community safety. Since June 1, 2026, in San Juan arrested 169 criminals, carried out 70 drug seizures, located and rescued 12 children, and recovered 20 weapons during Operation Summer Heat 2.0.

None of this would have occurred without our local and federal partners, who go out every day to protect our communities.
