O Chefe do Escritório de Representação de Portugal na Palestina, José Guedes de Sousa, acompanhado de outros funcionários diplomáticos portugueses, realizou no passado dia 25 de maio uma visita de solidariedade à cidade cristã de Taybeh, a convite do pároco do Patriarcado Latino local, Pe. Bashar Fawadleh. A visita serviu para recolher informações sobre os principais desafios com que aquela localidade se confronta no seu quotidiano, nomeadamente no que respeita às condições de vida e segurança dos seus habitantes e à preservação do seu património identitário, cultural e arqueológico.

The Head of the Portuguese Representation Office in Palestine, José Guedes de Sousa, along with other Portuguese diplomatic officials, paid a solidarity visit to the Christian city of Taybeh on May 25th, at the invitation of the head of the local Latin Patriarchate parish, Father Bashar Fawadleh. The visit aimed at gathering information about the main daily challenges faced by the city, particularly regarding the living and security conditions of its inhabitants and the preservation of its identity, cultural and archaeological heritage.
