Today July 27, 2014, Mr Shiu Raj, PIFS Director of Economic Governance Programme presents the regional perspective of "The Pacific's Non-Communicable Disease Roadmap" during the last day of the 2014 Forum Regional Media Workshop sponsored by PINA and PIFS.

The government of the Republic of Palau and Matson, Inc are jointly sponsoring the pre-Forum concert to be held at the Bethlehem Park on Sunday July 27, 2014 beginning at 6:00 pm. Local musicians including a band from Hawaii will be singing the night away. The public is invited to attend.

Side event entitled "Securing our Future: A call to action" on invasive species has been scheduled for Monday July 28, 2014 at the Desomel Restaurant, Palasia Hotel. Media is invited.

Please be advised that the Protocol Committee will be holding another dry run exercise for the Forum Leaders motorcade on Wednesday July 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm starting from Palau High School to Ngerulmud, Melekeok.

45th Pacific Islands Forum

A traditional meeting house and stage are being constructed on the grounds of the National Capitol to host the official opening ceremony of the 45th Pacific Islands Forum.

Public Works will assist those who live on the main road from the airport to PPR or Malakal in giving their homes a facelift......watch OTV for more information :)

The logo for this year's Pacific Islands Forum consists of the moon, the ocean, and the yellow surgeon fish - locally known as Mesekuuk.
