في اليوم العالمي للاتصالات ومجتمع المعلومات 2026، نؤكد أهمية مرونة الشبكات الرقمية في دعم المجتمعات والأعمال والخدمات الأساسية.

ومع تزايد الاعتماد على الاتصال في مختلف جوانب الحياة، نواصل التزامنا بضمان شبكات مرنة وموثوقة من خلال تعزيز البنية التحتية الرقمية في دولة قطر، وضمان استمرارية الخدمات، وحماية حقوق المستهلك في قطاع الاتصالات.




On World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2026, we reaffirm the importance of resilient digital networks in supporting communities, businesses, and essential services.

As connectivity becomes increasingly essential in everyday life, we remain committed to ensuring resilient and reliable networks. Through our ongoing efforts, we continue working to strengthen Qatar’s digital infrastructure, ensure service continuity, and protect consumer rights across the telecommunications sector.

اجتمع سعادة المهندس أحمد بن عبدالله المسلماني، رئيس هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات والرئيس المعيّن لـمؤتمر المندوبين المفوضين للاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات 2026، مع سعادة السيد أوجين كرينس، سفير مملكة بلجيكا لدى دولة قطر، والسيد بيل مامباي، نائب رئيس البعثة، وذلك بمقر الهيئة في الدوحة.

واطّلع سعادته خلال اللقاء على استعدادات دولة قطر لاستضافة مؤتمر المندوبين المفوضين، وتطرق اللقاء الى طبيعة المؤتمر وأهميته، ومستوى التمثيل والمشاركة الدولية المتوقعة، إلى جانب الفعاليات المصاحبة التي ستُعقد على هامشه.

كما ناقش الجانبان سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في قطاع الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات.






Engineer Ahmad bin Abdulla AlMuslemani, President of the Communications Regulatory Authority and Chair-Designate of the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2026, met with H.E. Eugène Crijns, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the State of Qatar, and Mr. Jelle Mampaey, Deputy Head of Mission, at CRA headquarters in Doha.

During the meeting, H.E. the Ambassador was briefed on Qatar’s preparations for hosting PP-26, including the nature and significance of the conference, the level of international participation and representation expected, and the accompanying events that will be held alongside the conference.

The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the telecommunications and information technology sector.

استقبل المهندس أحمد بن عبدالله المسلماني، رئيس هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات والرئيس المعيّن لـمؤتمر المندوبين المفوضين للاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات 2026، سعادة السيد نيكوشور دانيال تاناسي، سفير رومانيا لدى دولة قطر، بمقر الهيئة في الدوحة.

واطّلع سعادته خلال اللقاء على استعدادات دولة قطر لاستضافة لـمؤتمر المندوبين المفوضين، كما ناقش الجانبان سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في قطاع الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات، إلى جانب تأكيد رومانيا دعمها لترشح دولة قطر لعضوية مجلس الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات للفترة 2027-2030.





Engineer Ahmad bin Abdulla AlMuslemani, President of Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) and Chair-Designate of the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2026 (ITUPP-26), met with H.E. Nicusor Daniel Tănase, Ambassador of Romania to the State of Qatar, at CRA premises in Doha.

During the meeting, H.E. the Ambassador was briefed on Qatar’s preparations to host PP-26. The two sides also discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in the telecommunications and information technology sector, while the Ambassador expressed Romania’s support for the State of Qatar’s candidacy for the ITU Council membership for the 2027–2030 term.

شاركت دولة قطر، ممثلةً بهيئة تنظيم الاتصالات، في اجتماعي مجلس الإدارة ومجلس الاستثمار البريدي التابعين للاتحاد البريدي العالمي لعام 2026، والمنعقدين في برن – سويسرا.

وتناولت الاجتماعات عدداً من الموضوعات الرئيسية، من بينها التحول الرقمي، وجودة الخدمة، وأمن البريد، والخدمات اللوجستية، والتعاون الدولي.

وجاءت هذه المشاركة ضمن إطار الجهود المستمرة للإسهام في الحوارات الدولية ذات الصلة بتطوير القطاع البريدي، والتفاعل مع المبادرات المشتركة الرامية إلى رفع الكفاءة، وتعزيز الابتكار، والارتقاء بجودة الخدمات على المستوى العالمي.





The State of Qatar, represented by the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), participated in the sessions of the Universal Postal Union’s Council of Administration (CA) and Postal Operations Council (POC), held in Bern, Switzerland.

The meetings addressed several key topics, including digital transformation, service quality, postal security, logistics, and international cooperation.

This participation came as part of ongoing efforts to contribute to international discussions on postal sector development and to engage in joint initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, fostering innovation, and improving service quality globally.

On World Password Day, we encourage users to adopt safer practices that enhance password protection and safeguard digital identity and personal data.

To strengthen online security, we advise you to use strong, unique passwords for each account, avoid using personal details such as names or birthdays as well as predictable patterns, and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Small, proactive steps today can significantly improve online security and help build a safer digital environment for all.

بمناسبة اليوم العالمي لكلمة لمرور، ندعو المستخدمين إلى تبنّي ممارسات أكثر أماناً لتعزيز حماية كلمات المرور والهوية الرقمية والبيانات الشخصية.

ولتعزيز الأمن الرقمي، ننصحكم باستخدام كلمات مرور قوية وفريدة لكل حساب، وتجنّب استخدام المعلومات الشخصية مثل الأسماء أو تواريخ الميلاد أو الأنماط الشائعة، بالإضافة إلى تفعيل المصادقة متعددة العوامل.

إن اتخاذ هذه الخطوات الاستباقية البسيطة يمكن أن تحدث فرقاً كبيراً في تحسين الأمان الرقمي من أجل بيئة رقمية أكثر أماناً لجميع المستخدمين.

وقد أسهمت المناقشات خلال الاجتماع في تعزيز التنسيق وتوحيد الرؤى، ودعم العملية التحضيرية الشاملة بين الدول الأعضاء، تمهيدًا لانعقاد المؤتمر في الدوحة في نوفمبر 2026.





Engineer Ahmad bin Abdulla AlMuslemani, President of The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) and Chair-Designate of the chaired the 2nd informal inter-regional preparatory meeting for the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2026, held during the ITU Council 2026 in Geneva.

Discussions during the meeting contributed to strengthening coordination, fostering alignment of views, and supporting a comprehensive and inclusive preparatory process among Member States, ahead of PP-26, scheduled to take place in Doha in November 2026.

عقدت هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات بالتنسيق مع الأمانة العامة لدول مجلس التعاون اجتماعاً افتراضياً لنقل المعرفة لدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، حيث استعرضت الهيئة تجربة دولة قطر في تطبيق مبادرة إظهار اسم المتصل، وهي أداة تقنية وتنظيمية تمكّن المستخدمين من التعرف على الجهة المتصلة قبل الرد على المكالمة.

تركز الاجتماع على تبادل المعرفة حول آليات التنفيذ والتحديات والدروس المستفادة، بما يدعم الجهات التنظيمية في دول المجلس في دراسة حلول مماثلة تعزز حماية المستهلك، وتحد من المكالمات الاحتيالية، وترسخ الثقة في الاتصالات الصوتية.





The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), in coordination with the GCC General Secretariat, held a virtual knowledge transfer meeting for the GCC countries, during which it reviewed Qatar’s experience in implementing the Calling Name Presentation (CNAP) initiative, a technical and regulatory tool that enables users to identify the calling party before answering the call.

The meeting aimed to exchange knowledge on implementation approaches, challenges, and lessons learned, supporting GCC regulators in exploring similar solutions that enhance consumer protection, reduce fraudulent calls, and strengthen trust in voice communications.
