The Ambassador of Peru to Qatar, Gonzalo Voto Bernales, held a meeting with the President of Qatar University (QU), Dr. Omar Al Ansari, with the aim of exchanging views on opportunities for academic and cultural cooperation between both countries.

During the meeting, the importance of strengthening ties between QU and Peruvian universities was highlighted, as well as the promotion of spaces for dialogue, academic exchange, and collaboration in initiatives aimed at deepening mutual understanding between both countries.

Ambassador Voto Bernales also briefed Dr. Al Ansari on the various academic and cultural diplomacy initiatives promoted by Peru, aimed at strengthening cultural dialogue between Peru and Qatar. In this context, the Ambassador presented him with the book “Peru and Qatar: Rediscovering Each Other through Architectural Art”.

El Embajador del Perú en Qatar, Gonzalo Voto Bernales, sostuvo una reunión con el presidente de Qatar University (QU), Dr. Omar Al Ansari, con el propósito de intercambiar perspectivas sobre oportunidades de cooperación académica y cultural entre ambos países.

Durante el encuentro, se destacó la importancia de fortalecer los vínculos entre QU y las universidades peruanas, así como de promover espacios de diálogo, intercambio académico y colaboración en iniciativas orientadas a profundizar el conocimiento mutuo entre ambos países.

Así mismo le informó al Dr. Al Ansari sobre las diversas iniciativas académicas y de diplomacia cultural impulsadas por el Perú, orientadas a fortalecer el diálogo cultural entre el Perú y Qatar. En ese marco, el Embajador Voto Bernales hizo entrega del libro “Perú y Qatar: redescubriéndose a través del arte arquitectónico”.

El embajador del Perú en Qatar, Gonzalo Voto Bernales sostuvo una reunión con el presidente de la empresa catarí “Lari Group”, señor Abdulrazaq Lari con el propósito de explorar oportunidades orientadas a la eventual importación de productos peruanos al mercado catarí.

La reunión permitió dialogar sobre el potencial de la oferta exportable peruana, en particular de granos andinos, superfoods, snacks, frutos secos, frutas deshidratadas y otros productos agroindustriales compatibles con las categorías comerciales de Lari Group.

The Ambassador of Peru to Qatar, Gonzalo Voto Bernales, held a meeting with the President of the Qatari company Lari Group, Mr. Abdulrazaq Lari, with the purpose of exploring opportunities for the potential importation of Peruvian products into the Qatari market.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the potential of Peru’s exportable supply, particularly Andean grains, superfoods, snacks, nuts, dried fruits, and other agro-industrial products aligned with Lari Group’s commercial categories.

عقد سفير بيرو لدى قطر، غونزالو فوتو بيرناليس، اجتماعاً مع رئيس شركة مجموعة لاري القطرية، السيد عبد الرزاق لاري، بهدف استكشاف فرص الاستيراد المحتملة للمنتجات البيروفية إلى السوق القطري.

وفر الاجتماع فرصة لمناقشة إمكانات استيراد الأغذية البيروفيه، ولا سيما الحبوب الأنديزية، والوجبات الخفيفة، والمكسرات، والفواكه المجففة، وغيرها من المنتجات الزراعية الصناعية التي تتماشى مع الفئات التجارية لمجموعة لاري.

The Ambassador of Peru, Gonzalo Voto Bernales, met today with Mr. Mustafa Ünal Erten, Head of the Regional Centre of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Combating Cybercrime.

Both officials discussed UNODC’s work in the fight against cybercrime, particularly in the areas of capacity-building and the specialization of State officials engaged in addressing this scourge. They also explored possible avenues of cooperation with Peru.

Also present at the meeting were Mr. Jassim Al-Kuwari, Deputy Head of the said Office; Mr. Jordi Martín, Cybercrime Prevention Officer; Ms. Nariman ElGendy, Associate Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer; and Mr. Joaquin Correa, Deputy Head of Mission.

El Embajador del Perú en Qatar, Gonzalo Voto Bernales, se reunió hoy con el jefe del Centro Regional de la Oficina de las Naciones Unidas contra la Droga y el Delito (UNODC) para la Lucha contra la Ciberdelincuencia, señor Mustafa Ünal Erten.

Ambas autoridades dialogaron sobre la labor de la UNODC en relación con la lucha contra la ciberdelincuencia, en particular en materia de fortalecimiento de capacidades y especialización de los agentes estatales que enfrentan dicho flagelo. Asimismo, se abordaron opciones de cooperación con el Perú.

En la reunión también estuvieron presentes el jefe adjunto de dicha oficina, señor Jassim Al-Kuwari; el Oficial de Prevención de la Ciberdelincuencia, señor Jordi Martín; la Oficial Asociada de Prevención del Delito y Justicia Penal, señora Nariman ElGendy; y el jefe de Cancillería de nuestra Embajada, SS Joaquin Correa.

En dicha ocasión estuvieron presentes, asimismo, el Director de las Américas de la Cancillería local, señor Jassim Al-Ashmak; los ex Embajadores de Qatar en el Perú, señores Jamal Nasser Sultan Al-Bader (2012-2016) y Jabor bin Abdullah Al Sowaidi (2021-2024); el Jefe de la Carpeta Perú, Jeque Jassim Abdullah Al Thani; y el Jefe de Cancillería de nuestra Embajada, Joaquín Correa Muñiz.

Present on that occasion were Mr. Jassim Al-Ashmak, Director of the Americas Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar; the former Ambassadors of the State of Qatar to Peru, Mr. Jamal Nasser Sultan Al-Bader (2012–2016) and Mr. Jabor bin Abdullah Al Sowaidi (2021–2024); Sheikh Jassim Abdullah Al Thani, Head of the Peru Desk; and the Deputy Head of Mission of the Peruvian Embassy, Joaquín Correa Muñiz.

استضاف سفير جمهورية بيرو لدى دولة قطر، السيد غونزالو فوتو بيرناليس، مأدبة عشاء تكريمًا للسفير عبد الله جاسم محمد الزيارة، الذي عُيّن مؤخرًا سفيرًا فوق العادة ومفوضًا لدولة قطر لدى جمهورية بيرو.

El Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores del Perú, Embajador Hugo de Zela sostuvo una conversación telefónica con el Ministro de Estado para Asuntos Exteriores del Estado de Qatar, S.E. Soltan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

En dicho diálogo, el Canciller De Zela expresó la solidaridad del Gobierno peruano frente a la situación actual en el Medio Oriente, subrayando la importancia de preservar la estabilidad y la seguridad regional, así como de evitar una mayor escalada del conflicto.

Asimismo, intercambiaron puntos de vista sobre los recientes acontecimientos en la región, destacando la necesidad de privilegiar el diálogo, la solución pacífica de controversias y el respeto del derecho internacional.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, Ambassador Hugo de Zela, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, H.E. Soltan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

During the conversation, Minister de Zela conveyed the solidarity of the Peruvian Government considering the current situation in the Middle East, underscoring the importance of preserving regional stability and security, as well as of preventing any further escalation of the conflict.

They also exchanged views on the recent developments in the region, highlighting the need to give precedence to dialogue, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and respect for international law.

أجرى وزير خارجية جمهورية بيرو، السفير هوغو دي زيلا، اتصالًا هاتفيًا مع وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية في دولة قطر، سعادة السيد سلطان بن سعد المريخي.

وخلال هذا الاتصال، أعرب الوزير دي زيلا عن تضامن حكومة بيرو إزاء الوضع الراهن في الشرق الأوسط، مؤكدًا أهمية الحفاظ على الاستقرار والأمن الإقليميين، وكذلك تجنب أي تصعيد إضافي للنزاع.

كما تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر بشأن التطورات الأخيرة في المنطقة، مشددين على ضرورة تغليب الحوار، والحل السلمي للنزاعات، واحترام القانون الدولي.

🇵🇪🤝🇶🇦 Hoy recibimos en la embajada la visita de S.E. Abdullah Jassim Mohammed Al Zeyara, quien ha sido oficialmente nombrado Embajador Extraordinario y Plenipotenciario del Estado de Qatar ante la República del Perú.

👉 El embajador Gonzalo Voto Bernales y su contraparte catarí dialogaron sobre las maneras de impulsar y profundizar la relación bilateral, y revisaron algunos de los temas más destacados de la agenda común.

🤝 Le deseamos al embajador Al Zeyara los mayores éxitos en el desempeño de sus funciones.

👉 Ambassador Gonzalo Voto Bernales and his Qatari counterpart discussed ways to promote and further deepen bilateral relations, and reviewed some of the most significant issues on the shared agenda.

تشرّفت السفارة اليوم باستقبال سعادة/ عبد الله جاسم محمد الزيارة، الذي تم تعيينه رسمياً سفيراً فوق العادة ومفوضاً لدولة قطر لدى جمهورية بيرو.

​وقد بحث السفير غونزالو فوتو برناليس مع نظيره القطري سبل تعزيز وتعميق العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين، كما استعرضا عدداً من أبرز القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك على الأجندة الثنائية.

​نتمنى لسعادة السفير الزيارة كل التوفيق والنجاح في أداء مهام عمله الجديدة
