GSAS is officially adopted as the regional Gulf Standard GSO 3000:2025 for sustainable buildings across all GCC countries.

GORD and the University of Oum El Bouaghi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance sustainability education and green building capacity in Algeria.

The agreement formally integrates GSAS into the university’s engineering and architectural curricula. Faculty will receive advanced training and professional GSAS certification, enabling them to train undergraduate and postgraduate students on GSAS Design & Build Certification.
 
The MoU directly supports Algeria’s NDC under the Paris Agreement, targeting a 7% unconditional reduction in GHG emissions by 2030.

This achievement is a regional first. The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) is now the only organization in the region to maintain this level of performance across two consecutive assessment cycles.
 
The GSAS Operations framework goes beyond energy and water efficiency. It prioritizes indoor environmental quality directly affecting the health and wellbeing of patients and medical staff. By ensuring a healthy indoor climate, these centers are setting a new benchmark for healthcare facilities in Qatar.
