Sharif Elabdelwahab, Ph. D. | Deputy Head for Quality and Development College of Languages and Translation Imam Muhammed Ibn Saudi University

He is a Ph.D. holder from the Ohio State University in Foreign and Second Language Education with emphasis in Workforce Development. He earned his Masters of Science in P***c Services Administration and another Master’s of Arts in TESOL in 1996.

Dr. Sharif has been involved in Human Resources Development and youth enabling programs in the past 12 years in Saudi Arabia and the USA. With massive country expansion in Saudi untraditional employment and preparation to meet market demands, he worked as the CEO of National Entrepreneurship Institute, consultant to TVTC governor, NSJT, BAES, Minister of Labor, Human Resources Development Fund, and Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in USA.

Fahad Al Kaabi | Chief Executive Officer - Manateq

The Ex-CEO of QPM joined Manateq in 2013 bringing with over 17 years of wide-ranging work experience in the areas of engineering, project management and top level administration.

Prior to being appointed CEO of QPM, he has also had relevant experience in formulating public policy as Manager of the Conservation and Energy Efficiency Department of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA). During such time, Mr. Al-Kaabi formulated conservation policies, strategies and rules in conformity with conservation laws, as well as promoted educational awareness for energy conservation in Qatar, ensuring compliance with international and GCC energy conservation guidelines.

Ahmed El Alfi | Founder - Sawari Ventures

Ahmed El Alfi is the founder of Sawari Ventures a Cairo based Venture Capital firm established in 2010 with a goal to help transform Egyptian and MENA region economies through creation of high impact businesses.

In 2011, Sawari created Flat6Labs, its own start-up accelerator. Flat6Labs immerses start-up entrepreneurs into real-world challenges of creating and managing sustainable enterprises, supported by a dedicated staff, mentors and over the past 3 years has launched 46 companies in Egypt, 26 companies in Saudi, 14 companies in Abu Dhabi and will be opening Flat6Labs locations soon in Beirut, Manama and Tunis.

2016 Speaker:
Nader S. Kabbani, Ph. D. | Director of Research and Policy - Silatech

Prior to joining Silatech, Dr. Kabbani was the founding Director of the Syrian Development Research Centre at the Syria Trust for Development, a non-profit NGO based in Damascus. Before that, Kabbani was a faculty member with the Department Economics at the American University of Beirut and an Economist with the Economic Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

During his career, Kabbani worked as a consultant for a number of international organizations, including the World Bank, the European Training Foundation, and various United Nations agencies.
