This is an ambition that we will deliver together as a group of museums and heritage sites to help fulfill the cultural goals of the 2030 Qatar National Vision. Our brand purpose also aligns with our organisational vision – to develop, promote and sustain the cultural sector at the highest standards. At the heart of this is a commitment to helping Qatar originate art, culture and heritage experiences from within. This enables us to have an extraordinary impact on the world and have the rest of the world understand us in return. We will create and support the next generation of cultural audiences. We will generate a national spirit of participation. We will inspire audiences and producers of the future.

بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للعصا البيضاء، جمعت متاحف قطر نخبة من الشخصيات من مجالات الثقافة والتعليم والمجتمع في متحف قطر الوطني، وذلك تحت عنوان: "حكاية إنجاز… أبعد من حدود الرؤية".

نحن نؤمن بأن قوة أي متحف تكمن في مدى ترحيبه بالجميع، لذا فإن تهيئة سبل الوصول ليست مجرد إضافة ثانوية، بل هي مفتاح يفتح الأبواب نحو الاستقلالية، وتكافؤ الفرص، والشعور بالانتماء. وبالنسبة لمتاحف قطر، يعني هذا توفير متحف يمكن للجميع فيه استكشاف قصة دولة قطر.

جاءت هذه المبادرة بالتعاون مع كل من: مركز "النور" للمكفوفين، ومركز قطر الاجتماعي والثقافي للمكفوفين، ومركز الدمج ودعم ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة بجامعة قطر.

On International White Cane Day, Qatar Museums gathered voices from across culture, education and community at the National Museum of Qatar for A Story of Achievement… Beyond the Limits of Sight.

We believe a museum is only as strong as its welcome, so accessibility isn’t an add-on, it’s what opens the door to independence, opportunity and belonging. For Qatar Museums that means a museum where Qatar’s story can be discovered by everyone.

كيف نحمي تراثنا للأجيال القادمة؟ 🌍

انطلقت اليوم في متحف: المتحف العربي للفن الحديث أولى ورش سلسلة «اتفاقيات اليونسكو الثقافية 2026»، التي تجمع الشباب والطلاب في تجربة تفاعلية لاستكشاف سبل حماية الممتلكات الثقافية، والتراث العالمي، والتراث الثقافي غير المادي.

تنظم متاحف قطر هذه السلسلة بالتعاون مع اللجنة الوطنية القطرية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم، ومكتب اليونسكو الإقليمي لدول الخليج واليمن، بهدف تمكين جيل جديد من المتخصصين في حماية التراث الثقافي

‏The first workshop of UNESCO Cultural Conventions: Conventions 101 kicked off today at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art!

انضمّوا إلى تحدٍ دولي للتصميم يمتد على مدار 48 ساعة، وموجّه لطلبة الجامعات من مدن اليونسكو المبدعة. 🎨

يدعو التحدي الطلبة إلى النظر إلى شوارع مدنهم من منظور مختلف: كيف يمكن أن تصبح أكثر أمانًا ومرحًا وملاءمة للأطفال، إذا صُممت من مستوى نظر طفل يبلغ من العمر 3 سنوات، أي على ارتفاع يقارب 90 سم؟

يجمع التحدي مدن التصميم الأعضاء في شبكة اليونسكو للمدن المبدعة: الدوحة، وأسايكاوا، وديترويت، والمحرق، وكيريتارو، ووهان.

Join a 48-hour international design challenge for university students from UNESCO Creative Cities.🎨

The challenge invites participants to reimagine real streets as safer, more playful, and more caring environments for children, seen from approximately 90 cm, the eye level of a 3-year-old child.

The challenge brings together the UCCN Design Cities of Doha, Asahikawa, Detroit, Muharraq, Querétaro, and Wuhan.

شُيّد قصر فهد بن علي عام 1953، ويُعد أحد المعالم المرتبطة بالإرث المعماري للدوحة، إذ يمتد على مساحة تقارب 3,700 متر مربع ويعكس جانبًا من تاريخ المدينة وتحولاتها.

في هذا الفيلم، يشارك عبداللطيف الجسمي، مدير حماية التراث الثقافي، قصة القصر ودوره المتطور. ومع إعادة توظيفه بعناية والحفاظ على طابعه التاريخي، سيصبح القصر مقرًا لإدارة الآثار في متاحف قطر، كما سيحتضن المجموعة الدائمة للآثار والتراث، بما يعزز البحث والتفاعل مع الجمهور.

ترقّبوا فصلًا جديدًا في تاريخ قصر فهد بن علي خلال موسم خريف/ شتاء قطر تبدع، حيث يستضيف القصر معارض وتجارب ثقافية مرتقبة.

Built in 1953, Fahad bin Ali Palace stands as a distinctive part of Doha’s architectural heritage, a 3,700 sqm historic site carrying layers of the city’s past into the present.

In this film, Abdullatif Al Jasmi, Director of Cultural Heritage Protection, shares the story of the palace and its evolving role. Thoughtfully repurposed while preserving its historic character, it will become home to Qatar Museums’ Archaeology Department and permanent archaeology and heritage collection, supporting future research and public engagement.

Stay tuned as Fahad bin Ali Palace opens a new chapter this Qatar Creates Fall/Winter season, hosting upcoming exhibitions and cultural experiences.

هذه المرة، لم يكن اليافعون زوّارًا للمتحف فقط، بل أصبحوا جزءًا من مهمة لحماية قصصه. 👀

في المرحلة الختامية من «برنامج التجربة»، استقبل متحف قطر الوطني أكثر من 100 مشارك من مركز اليافعين ليؤدوا دور "حُراس المتحف"، حيث خاضوا تحديًا داخل قاعات العرض، فتتبّعوا الأدلة، واستكشفوا القصص، وعملوا معًا لحماية ما اكتشفوه.

استُلهم التحدي من العمل الفني «الوطن الأم» المعروض في المتحف، وما يطرحه من أفكار حول مفاهيم الأرض والحماية والهوية. وبالنسبة إلى هؤلاء المشاركين الشباب، لم يقتصر دور الحارس على حل اللغز، بل كانت فرصة ليروا أنفسهم جزءًا من القصة، ومن مسؤولية الحفاظ على تراث قطر وحمايته لأجل أجيال المستقبل.

تحية تقدير لهؤلاء الشباب الذين خاضوا التحدي، وشاركوا بفضولهم وأفكارهم المميزة، وذكّرونا بأن القصص التي نحفظها اليوم هي ملكٌ للأجيال التي ستحمل أمانة نقلها إلى المستقبل. 👏

Who keeps culture alive? The generations who come next.

For the final stage of The Experiment, we hosted more than 100 Teen Hub members to take on the role of museum keepers at the National Museum of Qatar where they uncovered clues, explored the stories in galleries and worked together to protect what they found.

Inspired by NMoQ’s Motherland, the challenge explored ideas of land, protection and identity. But for these young participants, being a keeper meant more than solving the mystery. It meant seeing themselves as part of the story and as future keepers of Qatar’s heritage.

A bravo to the young people who took on the challenge, brought their curiosity and ideas to the table, and reminded us that the stories we preserve today belong to the generations who will carry them forward. 👏

خلال الندوة الأكاديمية الدولية «مستقبل المتاحف: التكامل متعدد التخصصات» التي استضافها متحف سوتشو، شاركت شيخة النصر، مدير متحف الفن الإسلامي، في حوار دولي حول الدور الذي تلعبه العمارة في صياغة تجربة المتحف، وعلاقته بالمدينة، والطريقة التي يتفاعل بها الجمهور مع الثقافة.

ومن خلال تجربة متحف الفن الإسلامي في الدوحة، استعرضت شيخة النصر كيف يمكن للمبنى نفسه أن يصبح جزءًا من الحكاية التي يرويها المتحف، حيث تلتقي العمارة والفن والتراث في تجربة واحدة.

وتعكس مشاركة شيخة النصر حضور متاحف قطر في النقاشات الدولية حول مستقبل المتاحف، وتبادل الخبرات والرؤى القطرية مع نخبة من المتخصصين في قطاع المتاحف من مختلف أنحاء العالم، في وقت تتطور فيه أدوار المتاحف وطرق تفاعلها مع جمهورها

At the International Academic Symposium on The Future of Museums: Multidisciplinary Integration at Suzhou Museum, Shaika Al-Nassr, Director of the Museum of Islamic Art, joined an international conversation on how architecture can shape a museum’s narrative, its relationship with its city, and the way people connect with culture.

Drawing on the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, she shared how one of Qatar’s most recognisable cultural landmarks can become part of the story it tells, where architecture, art and heritage come together.

Shaika Al-Nassr’s participation reflects Qatar Museums’ role in contributing to international conversations about the future of museums, sharing ideas and experiences from Qatar alongside leading voices from across the global museum sector, as the sector continues to rethink what museums can be and how they can connect with audiences.

نُقدّم لكم بوابة ألعاب سباق الجائزة الكبرى، أحدث تجاربنا الرقمية التي طُوّرت بالتعاون مع جوجل كلاود، والتي كُشِف عنها في قمة جوجل كلاود في الدوحة.

تجمع هذه البوابة بين سباقات السيارات الافتراضية والألعاب الإلكترونية ورواية القصص الثقافية، لتنقل مجموعاتنا إلى ما وراء جدران المتاحف من خلال جولات افتراضية ثلاثية الأبعاد واقعية، ومحاكاة سباقات، وتجارب ثقافية تفاعلية. وتُتيح هذه البوابة للجمهور حول العالم طريقة جديدة لاكتشاف تراث قطر، لا سيما خلال عطلات نهاية الأسبوع التي تُقام فيها سباقات كبرى.

ونفخر بحصولنا على جائزة هورايزون للتميز في الثقافة الرقمية والتفاعل، والتي قدمتها وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات تقديرًا لهذا التعاون.

Introducing the Grand Prix Gaming Portal, our latest digital experience developed with Google Cloud and unveiled at the Google Cloud Summit in Doha.

Bringing together virtual racing, gaming and cultural storytelling, the portal takes our collections beyond museum walls through photorealistic 3D gallery tours, racing simulations and interactive cultural experiences. It offers audiences around the world a new way to discover Qatar’s heritage, particularly during major race weekends.

We’re proud to have received the Horizon Excellence Award for Digital Culture & Engagement, presented by MCIT in recognition of the collaboration.

لقد سررنا بالمشاركة في مبادرة “الموظف الصغير” لهذا العام، وهي ثمرة تعاون مثمر مع مركز قطر للتطوير المهني، التابع لمؤسسة قطر.

دعا هذا البرنامج الفريد الأطفال من سن 7 إلى 15 عامًا إلى خوض تجربة عملية في بيئة العمل، من خلال قضاء يوم برفقة آبائهم أوأقاربهم في مكان عملهم.

وكان شعار هذا العام “تجسيد قيم متاحف قطر”، مما أتاح للأطفال فرصة الانغماس في أنشطة شيقة أبرزت القيم الأساسية لمتاحف قطر. ومن خلال هذه التجارب التفاعلية، لم يقتصر الأمر على تنمية فضولهم فحسب، بل اكتسبوا أيضًا تقديرًا أعمق لأهمية العمل الذي نقوم بهفي متاحف قطر. كان اليوم حافلًا بالأنشطة الممتعة والهادفة، والهدايا الرائعة، وشهادة تقدير خاصة تخلد هذه التجربة المميزة. لقد كانت حقًاطريقة رائعة لتعزيز الروابط بين موظفينا وعائلاتهم!

We were thrilled to participate in this year’s “Little Employee” initiative, a fantastic collaboration with Qatar Career Development Center, part of Qatar Foundation.

This unique program invited children aged 7 to 15 to step into the adult world by spending a day shadowing their parents or relatives at their workplace.

This year’s theme, “Living the QM Values,” allowed kids to dive into exciting activities that highlighted QM’s core values. Through these immersive experiences, they not only nurtured their curiosity but also gained a deeper appreciation for the important work we do at QM. The day was filled with fun, meaningful activities, delightful gifts, and a special certificate to commemorate their unforgettable experience. It was truly a wonderful way to strengthen the bonds between our staff and their families!
