On February 15, 2024, on the eve of Diplomat’s Day, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania organized an international cultural conference entitled “Magtymguly Pyragy - Turkmen educator, thinker and poet of the world” and an exhibition dedicated to the work of the poet, which will last until February 25, 2024 at the National Library of Romania.
The conference was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Romania, members of Parliament, heads of ministries and departments, rectors of leading higher educational institutions, representatives of academic circles, museums, Chambers of commerce and industry, Turkmen students studying in educational institutions in Romania, and the media.The speakers spoke about the poet’s work and his contribution to the treasury of universal spiritual values. They also discussed the role of Magtymguly Fragi in the development of international and friendly relations not only in the countries of the East, but also in the world as a whole.

During the event were shown videos about the life of Magtymguly Fragi and a documentary about Turkmenistan prepared by the Romanian National Television. Students also recited poems by the great classic of Turkmen literature in different languages.
In the musical part of the celebration, the Turkmen side performed in front of the audience with national musical and folklore works on dutar.
At the end of the event was organized a treat with dishes of Turkmen cuisine.

On February 6, 2024 was held a meeting between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Romania Annammet Annayev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkiye in Romania Özgür Kıvanç Altan.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current and prospects of development of bilateral and multilateral relations, cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.

On January 29, 2024, in the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania, a presentation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Youth is the support of the Motherland” and the announcement of 2024 as the year “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi” was organized.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, Turkmen students studying in Romania.

As part of the presentation, the Ambassador noted that the book of the President of Turkmenistan highlights the achievements of the country’s youth policy, as well as the role and high performance of the younger generation in various spheres of the state’s life, aimed at strengthening and prosperity of Turkmenistan.

It was also emphasized that at the 39th meeting of the permanent council of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), its participants unanimously supported the proposal of the Turkmen side to declare 2024 - “The Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world - Magtymguly Fragi” and the ancient Turkmen city of Anau - the cultural capital Turkic world by 2024.

Посольство Туркменистана в Румынии объявляет конкурс рисунков в честь 300-летия со дня рождения Махтумкули Фраги и посвященный объявлению 2024 года – Годом « Кладезь разума Махтумкули Фраги » .
Задание: нарисовать портрет великого поэта. К участию приглашаются студенты обучающиеся в ВУЗах Румынии.
Работы на конкурс принимаются в формате А3: черно-белые, цветные, выполненные гуашью, акварелью, карандашом - рисованные на бумаге.
Отправляемая на конкурс работа должна содержать ФИО автора, учебное заведение, курс, название тематики.
Конкурсные работы необходимо отправить до 23 февраля на адрес Посольства Туркменистана в Румынии (Intrarea Aviator Teodor Iliescu 35, București)
В критерии отбора победителей входит: художественность работы, социальный посыл в целом, оформление, название картины/призыв.
Победители конкурса будут объявлены 2 марта на сайте Посольства Туркменистана в Румынии.

На отобранных рисунках на печатной продукции будет имя автора. Все рисунки будут использованы на социальных выставках проводимых Посольством и сохранены.
Победителей ждут памятные призы и сертификаты от имени Посольства.

On October 23, 2023, in the framework of participation in the 19th ministerial meeting “Central Asia - European Union”, bilateral negotiations were held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Luminita Odobescu.
The parties recognized the importance of mutual support in the international space. In particular, the Turkmen side expressed gratitude to Romania for its support in the adoption of resolutions of the UN General Assembly initiated by Turkmenistan.
In the field of trade and economic cooperation, the main attention was paid to the potential of joint projects, including the fields of transport and energy. In this context, the parties especially noted cooperation within the framework of the Working Group on Energy. The importance of the Caspian Sea - Black Sea transport corridor was emphasized.
The parties confirmed their interest in continuing cooperation in the field of digitalization.
During the conversation, issues of humanitarian cooperation were discussed. Particular attention is paid to issues of interaction in the field of education, as well as exchange programs in this direction. Currently, about 300 Turkmen students are studying in Romania. The commitment to partnership in this direction was reinforced by the Cooperation Program signed in 2023 between the ministries of education of both countries. In addition, the Turkmen side confirmed the importance of short-term diplomatic training for young diplomats at the Nicolae Titulescu University.
Concluding the meeting, the ministers signed an Action Plan for 2024-2025 between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. This document is an expression of common aspirations to further strengthen interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

17 октября 2023 года в здании Посольства состоялась встреча Посла А.Аннаева с Сопредседателем румынской части межпарламентской туркмено-румынской группы дружбы А.К.Колчаром. На встрече с румынской стороны также присутствовал вице-председатель Алексе Флорин и секретарь Амет Варол межпарламентской туркмено-румынской группы дружбы.
В начале встречи стороны отметили о наличии позитивного опыта взаимодействия на межпарламентском уровне между двумя странами. В этом контексте, в качестве приоритетных направлений были обозначены: политико-дипломатическая, топливно-энергетическая, транспортно-коммуникационная, а также культурно-гуманитарная области сотрудничества.
В частности, отмечены усилия министерств иностранных дел в процессе поддержания плодотворного взаимодействия двух стран; необходимость наращивания энергетического сотрудничества, ввиду восприятия Туркменистана Румынией в качестве одного из основных экспортёров энергоресурсов в южно-европейском направлении; важность реализации совместных экономических проектов, в том числе по проекту создания транзитно-транспортного коридора «Каспийское море – Черное море»; значимость сохранения грантовой программы сотрудничества по линии образования; роль культурных связей.
Подчеркнув значимость действующей между двумя странами с 2017 года туркмено-румынской межпарламентской группы дружбы, стороны договорились в ближайшее время обменяться составами национальных групп туркмено-румынской межпарламентской группы дружбы и рассмотреть возможность организации их очередной встречи в ноябре текущего года в Ашхабаде.

The Turkmen delegation visited the Romanian company CONPET SA, located in the city of Ploiesti, where they were introduced in detail the activities and strategy of this company.
CONPET SA offers specialized oil transportation services via pipelines and tank cars by rail, ensuring the supply of crude oil and its derivatives from domestic producers and from import points to refineries.

11 октября 2023 года Румынский нефтегазовый университет Плоешти посетили ректор Международного университета нефти и газа имени Ягшыгелди Какаева Б.Атаманов и сотрудники Посольства.
Ректор Алин Диница в своем выступлении приветствовав туркменскую делегацию, отметил о заинтересованности румынской стороны в дальнейшем укреплении установленного сотрудничества в образовательной и научно-исследовательской сферах. В данном контексте, ректор поблагодарил туркменскую сторону за то, что при рассмотрении ВУЗов для направления туркменской молодежи в зарубежные государства на обучение, выбираются румынские ВУЗы. Также румынская сторона приветствовала установление связи между Международным университетом нефти и газа имени Ягшыгелди Какаева и Нефтегазовым университетом Плоешти в Румынии в области образования путем подписания в ходе визита проректора Нефтегазового университета Плоешти в Туркменистан 29 ноября 2017 года двустороннего Соглашения о сотрудничестве между названными университетами, который стал правовой базой в развитии межвузовского научно-образовательного сотрудничества. В дополнение, стороны договорились изучить возможности интенсификации двусторонних контактов, в том числе путем организации совместных мероприятий, конференций и обмена онлайн-лекциями по интересующим темам.
По завершению, стороны обменялись приглашениями по осуществлению взаимных визитов.

10 октября 2023 года в здании Министерства энергетики Румынии состоялось очередное заседание Туркмено-румынской рабочей комиссии по сотрудничеству в энергетической сфере, для участия в котором в Бухаресте находится делегация во главе с председателем ГК «Туркменнебит» Г.Агаджановым.

В ходе заседания был констатирован высокий уровень межгосударственного взаимодействия, строящегося на принципах взаимного доверия и обоюдной выгоды.

Туркменская сторона подчеркнула, что одним из ключевых аспектов энергетической стратегии Туркменистана является дальнейшая модернизация и техническое оснащение предприятий нефтегазодобывающей и нефтехимической промышленности, реализация проектов строительства современных газоперерабатывающих комплексов, в том числе, по выпуску бензина, дизельного топлива, авиационного керосина, полиэтилена, полипропилена и другой газохимической продукции. В этом контексте, отмечалось широкое внедрение в практику передовых ресурсосберегающих технологий, инновационных научно-технических разработок.

По итогам заседания был подписан соответствующий протокол.

The citizens of Turkmenistan are commemorating the 32nd anniversary of their nation's independence with grandeur and reverence. The heart of Ashgabat witnessed a vibrant parade, unfolding before the State Tribune complex . Earlier in the day, a flower - laying ceremony was conducted at the Monument of Independence. This significant event saw the presence of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, various governmental and parliamentary officials , representatives from public organizations , political parties , venerable elders , heads of diplomatic missions based in Ashgabat , and international guests . In the lead - up to the main holiday , the Turkmen capital held ceremonies to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals from various enterprises , organizations , and institutions. These celebrations paid tribute to the enduring spirit of Turkmenistan on its 32nd anniversary of independence. In line with this , by the mandates of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov , a select group of citizens were conferred with orders , medals , and honorary titles , recognizing their unparalleled services to the nation and its people.

Повестка дня нынешней сессии включает широкий спектр вопросов , касающихся таких важнейших направлений , как содействие поступательному экономическому росту и устойчивому развитию , поддержание мира и безопасности на планете , противодействие глобальным вызовам и угрозам современности , экология и охрана окружающей среды , права человека и др .
Глава Туркменистана озвучил приоритетные позиции нашей страны по насущным проблемам регионального и глобального масштаба , а также новые созидательные инициативы , направленные на дальнейшее расширение эффективного международного сотрудничества , отвечающего интересам всеобщего благополучия и прогресса .
