Kazakhstan’s Digital Code: A New Era of AI, Policy, and International Cooperation

The Round Table “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” is held on 7 October, 2025 at Grand Hotel Bucharest in the presence of various distinguished guests (diplomatic corps, civil society, academia, think-tanks) to whom MEPEI (Middle East Political and Economic Institute) expresses gratitude for their participation. For the event to take place, MEPEI co-organized it with EuroDefense Romania partnered with the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Romania, and Nine O’clock publication as the main media partner.

The event main’s role is for the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, HE Mr Ali Yerlik, to Romania to debunk for the attendees President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, HE Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s national strategy for digitalization. It emphasizes that digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) should be at the core of the country’s economic strategy. The opening speech of the Ambassador is followed by the Romanian experts view on the matter, their background ranging from matters of security, governance and economic strategies.

Radu-Cristian MUȘETESCU, Professor, Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE);
Ecaterina MAȚOI, Program Director, MEPEI, and President, Strategic Dialogue for Global Affairs Initiative (SDGAi),
and Octavian-Dragomir JORA, Assistant Professor, Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE).
The event is moderated by Flavius CABA-MARIA, President, Middle East Political and Economic Institute.

At the Round Table, Mr. Mihai Manea, Owner of Nine O’Clock and Vice President of the CEO Club by Future Economy, participated alongside his wife, Mrs. Manea Florina, President of the “Right to Dream” Foundation and CEO of Ziarul News – daily newspaper.

🇰🇿🇹🇩Бухарест, 2025 жылғы 24 шілде – Бухарестте Қазақстан Республикасының Румыниядағы Елшілігі атақты қазақстандық вокалды-аспаптық ансамблі «Дос-Мұқасан» фильмінің көрсетілімін ұйымдастырды. Аталған фильм Қазақстанда көрермендердің сүйіспеншілігіне бөленген, румын көрермендерінің де көңілінен шығып, шет елдерде де өз жанкүйерлерін тапты.
Мәдени кеш Румынияда тұратын қазақстандық студенттер мен отандастарды, румын зиялыларын, дипломатиялық корпус өкілдерін, бұқаралық ақпарат құралдары қызметкерлерін, өнер мен бизнес саласының өкілдерін біріктірген достық көпіріне айналды.
Ашылу салтанатында Қазақстан Республикасының Румыниядағы Республикасындағы Төтенше және Өкілетті Елшісі Ерлік Әли мәдени байланыстардың маңыздылығына тоқталды. Фильм қазақ тілінде, ағылшын тіліндегі субтитрлермен көрсетілді және Бухаресттің мәдени өміріндегі жарқын оқиға болды. Бұл кеш Румыния қоғамының Қазақстанның тарихы мен бүгінгі күніне деген терең қызығушылығын тағы бір мәрте көрсетті. Сонымен қатар, қос достас халықты жақындастыруға бағытталған мәдени бастамалардың өзектілігі мен маңыздылығын дәлелдеді.

🇰🇿🇹🇩București, 24 iulie 2025 – În capitala României a avut loc proiecția filmului artistic „Dos-Mukasan”, dedicat legendarului ansamblu vocal-instrumental din Kazahstan, organizată de Ambasada Republicii Kazahstan în România. Filmul, care a câștigat deja dragostea a milioane de spectatori în țara natală, a avut un ecou puternic și în rândul publicului român, extinzându-și cu încredere cercul de admiratori dincolo de granițele Kazahstanului.
Seara culturală a devenit o adevărată punte de prietenie, reunind reprezentanți ai intelectualității române, ai corpului diplomatic, ai mass-media, ai lumii artistice, ai mediului de afaceri, precum și studenți kazahi și compatrioți care locuiesc în România.
Ambasadorul Extraordinar și Plenipotențiar al Republicii Kazahstan în România, E.S. domnul Yerlik Ali, a adresat un cuvânt de bun venit oaspeților. În discursul său, el a subliniat importanța interacțiunii culturale ca instrument esențial pentru consolidarea înțelegerii reciproce și dezvoltarea cooperării multilaterale între Kazahstan și România.
Cuvinte speciale de mulțumire au fost adresate directorului Hollywood Multiplex Operations, domnul Affan Yildirim, pentru sprijinul și ajutorul acordat în organizarea evenimentului.
Filmul a fost proiectat în limba kazahă, cu subtitrare în limba engleză, și a devenit un eveniment marcant în viața culturală a Bucureștiului. Acesta a demonstrat încă o dată interesul profund al publicului român pentru istoria și actualitatea Kazahstanului, confirmând relevanța și necesitatea inițiativelor culturale menite să apropie popoarele celor două țări prietene.
