US President Trump confirmed Iran shot down US Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz and said America must respond. Two US aviators were rescued in a first-of-its-kind drone rescue at sea.

“Nevertheless, the United States must, of necessity, respond to this attack,” Trump says.

Shortly before Trump’s post, Iranian parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said on X: “We prefer the language of diplomacy, but we speak other languages far more fluently. Break your commitments, and we’ll switch to what we speak best. You ride the horse you saddled!”

NATO Allies launch Ramstein Flag 2026 exercise with more than 200 aircraft from 18 countries.

Participating forces include fighter aircraft, air transport, air-to-air refuelling, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, airborne early warning assets and NATO air assets including E-3A AWACS and RQ-4D Phoenix.

The major air exercise involves three joint operations areas from northern Norway to southern Spain, bringing Allied Air Forces together for two weeks of multinational training.
