Rwanda Forestry Authority, through the Congo Nile Divide (CND) Project and in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, is training Community Coordination Committees (CCCs) across project areas on effective Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) management – from receiving and documenting complaints to mediation and resolution.
The sessions also engage men’s active participation as allies to promote gender equity, reduce GBV, and support women’s economic empowerment, in line with the Project’s Gender Action Plan.

in Rubavu District: the Rwanda Forestry Authority (RFA), in partnership with World Resources Institute, has launched a two-day National Technical Consultancy with key forest sector partners including Government institutions, Districts, Research, Academia, Development Partners and Non-Government Organisations.
The consultancy aims to brainstorm on shared understanding, strategic alignment, and provide concrete technical guidance across three objectives:
• Updating National Forest and Tree Cover Map 2019
• Establishing the Forest Land Use Master Plan
•Strengthening and aligning national approaches to FLR monitoring

The Rwanda Forestry Authority (RFA) and the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Board (RAB) concluded a three-day reflection workshop (April 28–30) in Huye District, aimed at strengthening collaborative research under the Project, funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The workshop prioritized strategies to scale up agroforestry practices, enhancing climate resilience and sustainable agriculture. Key discussions focused on aligning joint research initiatives with Rwanda’s green growth agenda .
