Not all medicines are the same.

Some medicines can be obtained from a pharmacy without a prescription (OTC), while others require a prescription from a qualified medical practitioner (POM).

Always consult a healthcare professional before taking any medicine.

Today, Rwanda FDA received a delegation from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA). Discussions focused on areas for strategic regulatory collaboration.

Today, the Director General of Rwanda FDA, Prof. Emile BIENVENU, and the Director General of the Agence Béninoise du Médicament (ABMed), Dr. Yossounon CHABI, signed an MoU to strengthen regulatory cooperation between the two institutions.

Rwanda FDA is hosting a delegation from the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZAMRA) for a five-day study visit facilitated through Rwanda Cooperation. The visit is aimed at fostering regulatory exchange between the two institutions.

Dans le cadre du partenariat existant avec l’Agence Béninoise du Médicament et des autres produits de santé (ABMed), Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority accueille une délégation de l’ABMed pour une visite d’étude de trois jours portant sur l’autorisation de mise sur le marché, la pharmacovigilance et le renforcement du système réglementaire.
