Effective school leadership is the foundation for quality Education. Research shows that no school can sustainably improve without strong leadership. Since 2015, VVOB has partnered with the Government of Rwanda and other actors in the education sector to promote effective school leadership.

This commitment continues through VVOB's Learning through Assessment and Data (LEAD) programme, launched in 2022 in collaboration with Ministry of Education, Rwanda, Government of Rwanda, with Belgian Government support. This five-year programme strengthens the capacity of newly appointed school leaders to address challenges like repetition, dropout rates, and equity gaps using data-driven leadership.
