We are delighted to welcome artist and photographer Erick Murinzi for his exhibition opening of Beyond the Broom. The exhibition brings into focus Rwanda’s women street cleaners, whose daily work quietly shapes the life of the city. Through portraiture and storytelling, it honors their dignity, strength, and presence.
Launched in 2019 as Bonds & Brooms, the project began as a personal initiative and grew into a long-term engagement with women who sweep Rwanda’s streets—many of them single mothers and primary providers. Their contributions are essential to the city, and this exhibition invites us to see them not just for the work they do, but for who they are.
We look forward seeing you there!

Do you remember the good old days when people listened to music on CDs or even cassette tapes? Probably only if you were born before 1995.
Because what would music be today without the MP3 format made in Germany!
The German engineer Karlheinz Brandenburg developed the format in the 1990s with his team, forever changing the way we experience music.
Suddenly, an entire music collection could fit in your pocket a huge leap for music fans worldwide!
Originally, MP3 was meant to transmit music quickly over telephone lines its inventor didn’t even expect it to become the next big thing.
Today, MP3 is built into billions of devices: phones, MP3 players, iTunes, and more.
How did you first listen to digital music?
