The launch brought together partners and stakeholders to explore the country’s updated climate priorities, discuss key targets, and examine pathways for implementation.
The NDC 3.0 dissemination launch sets the stage for Rwanda’s climate action outreach. The event aimed to increase awareness of updated targets,clarify implementation approaches, and foster partnerships that will drive climate resilience & green growth nationwide.

The Ministry of Environment and Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) launched the dissemination of Rwanda’s Updated Climate Action Plan (NDC 3.0), marking the start of broader outreach to raise awareness, strengthen understanding, and drive stakeholder engagement in its implementation.

Earlier this week, we officially launched Nyungwe–Ruhango Corridor Restoration Project under the Program. The event kicked off with a tree planting activity during community work , highlighting the strong collaboration and partnerships driving its successful implementation.
Thousands of community members turned up for the project launch and tree planting activity, reflecting strong expectations and ownership. They were also engaged by through entertaining and educational sketches, reminding them of their role in environmental protection.
Together, we are restoring ecosystems, strengthening resilience, and building a greener future for Rwanda.

Members visited the project intervention zones to witness firsthand the environmental & climate change challenges the project will address.
They visited tea plantations, degraded forests and parts of Mwogo River catchment that will be rehabilitated.
