Our Story
Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program Coordination Unit (NELSAP CU) is an investment arm of the Nile Basin Initiative. The Nile Basin Initiative is an Inter Governmental Organisation of the Nile Riparian Countries. NELSAP aims at promoting investments in power development and trade, River Basin management and development, agricultural trade and productivity, fisheries and watershed management among many other things.
Our Mandate is to contribute to the Eradication of poverty, promotion of Economic growth and reversal of environmental degradation in the Nile Equatorial Lakes Region. Our Mandate is to Facilitate, Support and Strengthen the Identification, Preparation and Implementation of Projects for the benefit of all Riparian Countries.
