Consul General Rommel Romato, with Vice Consul Lorenz Dantes and Hajj Attaché Musal Harun, visited and checked on Filipino pilgrims on 25 May 2026 as they undertake the sacred journey of Hajj.

On 24 May 2026, Consul General Rommel Romato welcomed Executive Director Janet Abasolo of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) during her courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah.

As part of TESDA’s continued support for overseas Filipino workers, Executive Director Janet Abasolo and her team conducted onsite assessments for TESDA qualifications in various technical and vocational fields, aimed at providing globally recognized certifications and expanding employment opportunities for Filipinos in the Kingdom.

𝗡𝗖𝗠𝗙 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗣𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗝𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗔𝗛

Secretary Sabuddin Abdurahim of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) paid a courtesy call on Consul General Rommel Romato at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah.

Discussions focused on the ongoing coordination and cooperation between the NCMF and the Consulate in ensuring the welfare, assistance, and support of Filipino pilgrims during the Hajj season. Matters concerning consular assistance, guidance for pilgrims, and initiatives aimed at promoting the safety and well-being of Filipino Hajj participants in the Kingdom were likewise discussed.

On 20 May 2026, Dr. Abdulnasser P. Masorong Jr. and members of the NCMF Hajj Medical Team met with Consul General Rommel Romato at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah.

During the meeting, the medical team shared updates on its ongoing medical mission and coordination efforts for the Hajj season, particularly in ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of Filipino pilgrims in the Kingdom. Discussions also highlighted the continuing collaboration among Philippine government agencies and partner institutions in providing timely medical assistance and support services to Filipino pilgrims throughout the Hajj period.
