H.E. Dr.Hala Altuwaijri, President of the Human Rights Commission, received Mr. Othman Belbeisi, Regional Director of the International Organization for Migration, at the Commission’s headquarters. The meeting explored areas of joint cooperation on migration-related human rights issues and included discussions on a number of topics of mutual interest. The visit also featured a tour of the Human Rights Exhibition, showcasing its educational content and initiatives aimed at advancing awareness and strengthening international coordination and collaboration in the field of human rights.

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in the field of , H.E. Dr. Hala altuwaijri, President of the Human Rights Commission, received H.E. Mr. Stephen Hitchen, British Ambassador to the Kingdom, at the Commission’s headquarters. Discussions covered areas of mutual interest and opportunities for closer collaboration, alongside a tour of the , which showcases the journey and development of human rights.

As part of the opening activities of the Forum, the Human Rights Commission signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the forum. The agreement aims to enhance awareness of human rights principles within the sports sector, provide advisory support, and enrich the forum’s activities by attracting international expertise and speakers.

The successful completion of the training programme on combating torture underscores the strength of the ongoing technical partnership between the Human Rights Commission and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. It represents a meaningful step toward building specialized national expertise, deepening understanding of international standards, and embedding professional practices rooted in prevention and accountability, ultimately advancing the protection of rights and strengthening institutional performance.
