自113年1月1日起，年滿18歲以上無戶籍國民申請在臺定居，不受「須在臺居住一定期間」限制，取得國民身分證更快速！

符合以下情形者，可申請定居設籍：
✔ 在國外出生，出生時父或母為在臺設有戶籍的國民。
✔ 在國內出生，出生時父或母為在臺設有戶籍的國民，未辦理出生登記，出國後持中華民國護照或外國護照入國。

2️、至設籍地戶政事務所辦理初設戶籍登記。
3️、設籍後第1次出境，請持具有「身分證統一編號」的中華民國護照出境。

配合 衛生福利部 疾病管制署伊波拉疫情防疫措施，本處將自115年6月2日零時起，暫停核發「剛果民主共和國」及「烏干達」居民之簽證；已核發簽證者，於此期間暫緩入境，暫行措施為期90天；惟以下四類對象得排除：

1. 已取得我國入學許可之學位生
2. 外交公務
3. 國人之非本國籍配偶及其未成年子女
4. 緊急或人道專案協處：如奔喪、探視重病親屬

至有關剛果民主共和國及烏干達居民近3個月內已獲發我國簽證且尚未入境者，外交部 Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ROC（Taiwan）依據「外國護照簽證條例」第12條規定廢止渠等簽證。

以上措施將視疫情變化及我國整體防疫政策隨時調整公告。

Starting from June 2, 2026, and for a period of 90 days, the R.O.C. (Taiwan) will implement entry restrictions and visa control measures on residents of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda given the severe outbreak of the Ebola virus in these countries. These measures are in line with the antipandemic policy of the Taiwan’s Centers for Disease Control under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Issuance of visas to residents of the DRC and Uganda will be suspended, and individuals from these countries who have already obtained visas will be denied entry into R.O.C.(Taiwan).

The measures will not apply to the following:

1. Admitted degree students
2. Personnel on diplomatic or official business
3. Spouses and minor children of R.O.C.(Taiwan) nationals
4. Visitors traveling for emergency or humanitarian reasons, such as attending a funeral or visiting a critically ill family member.

Also, with regard to residents of the DRC or Uganda who have been issued visas within the past three months but have yet to enter the R.O.C.(Taiwan), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will invalidate these visas pursuant to Article 12 of the Statute Governing the Issuance of ROC Visas in Foreign Passports.

The aforementioned measures may be adjusted based on the development of the Ebola outbreak or alterations to the nation’s antipandemic policy.

世界衛生組織（WHO）於2026年5月17日正式宣布，烏干達之伊波拉病毒感染疫情構成「國際關注公共衛生緊急事件（Public Health Emergency of International Concern, PHEIC）」。因應伊波拉國際疫情發展迅速，衛生福利部疾病管制署已於5月27日宣布烏干達旅遊疫情建議調升為第3級「警告」，籲請相關旅遊史旅客入境時主動前往檢疫站報到，配合自主健康管理21天；國人若在當地，應採取加強防護措施並儘速離境。欲查詢烏干達相關疫情及傳染病防治資訊，請參閱衛生福利部疾病管制署網頁（網址: https://www.cdc.gov.tw）。

MOFA Minister Lin Chia-lung recently accompanied President Lai Ching-te to attend a reception commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence!

The anniversary comes as Taiwan also marks an important milestone in 30 years since the first direct presidential election here. President Lai stated that the histories of both countries remind us of the price of freedom and the courage required by the people in making decisions at critical moments in time.

We hope that the Taiwan-US partnership, established on the foundation of the Taiwan Relations Act and the Six Assurances, will continue to flourish. MOFA will continue to implement the integrated diplomatic approach and work with the US to strengthen democratic resilience and bring about joint economic prosperity through important platforms like the Pax Silica and the Taiwan-US Economic Prosperity Partnership Dialogue💪

MOFA and the Ministry of Education co-hosted a farewell party for outgoing Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship recipients. Outstanding achievers from 63 countries were in attendance along with 22 representatives from the foreign diplomatic corps to say their goodbyes!

MOFA Deputy Minister François Wu gave an address at the event, stating that the Taiwan Scholarship is an important part of policy aimed at boosting international exchange among young people, and that the quota for the scholarship was successfully expanded this year, with 520 places offered to outstanding young people from our allies and like-minded countries.
Deputy Education Minister Liu Kuo-Wei wished the students well on their completion and graduation from their courses, expressing hope that they'll be great advocates for Taiwan on their return home, raising awareness of Taiwan and serving as a bridge of friendship between our countries💛

【歐洲議會再度力挺 支持台灣有意義參與國際組織💪🇪🇺】

歐洲議會最近通過「有關第81屆聯合國大會之建議」報告案，再度明確表達對台灣國際參與及台海和平穩定的支持！

報告重點包括：
📍強調 #聯大第2758號決議 並未決定台灣主權，亦未提及台灣，不可用此決議排除台灣的國際參與。
📍支持台灣有意義參與國際組織，以貢獻國際社會福祉。
📍反對任何以武力或脅迫方式片面改變台海現狀。
📍呼籲透過外交途徑避免台海及南海情勢升高。

recommendation report passed in support of Taiwan’s meaningful international participation & opposing distortion of UNGA Resolution 2758💪🇪🇺

The recommendation details the European Union’s position on the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), reiterating support for Taiwan’s meaningful participation in international organizations and demonstrating the European Parliament's support for the maintenance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.

The recommendation:
📍underlines that UNGA Resolution 2758 neither determines the sovereignty of Taiwan nor mentions Taiwan; opposes the resolution being used to exclude Taiwan from the international system;
📍urges the EU to step up support for Taiwan’s meaningful participation in international organizations for the benefit of the international community;
📍opposes any unilateral change to the status quo by coercion or force;
📍recommends that the EU engage in diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation in the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.

MOFA thanks the European Parliament for continuing to advocate for Taiwan’s international participation. Taiwan will further strengthen coordination with the EU and other like-minded partners to jointly uphold the rules-based international order and defend the values of democracy, freedom, and human rights. It will continue to actively contribute to the international community and strive for peace, security, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific and around the world.🤝
