Le Centre national d'appui aux ONG pour la population et le développement (NCPD) et l'Institut français d'Égypte vous invitent à la projection du film « La Reine du coton », réalisé par Suzanna Mirghani, suivie d'une discussion ouverte avec les protagonistes et des spécialistes de la santé reproductive, de la santé mentale et des relations familiales.

Le film :

« La Reine du coton » se déroule dans un village soudanais où la culture du coton est essentielle à la survie de la communauté. Nafisa a grandi bercée par les récits héroïques de sa grand-mère face au colonialisme britannique. Mais lorsqu'un jeune homme d'affaires soudanais arrive avec des semences génétiquement modifiées, Nafisa se retrouve au cœur d'un conflit latent où l'avenir du village et de ses terres est en jeu. Prise entre la légende de la « Reine du Coton » et les dures réalités de la vie, Nafisa se lance dans un combat pour sauver ses champs… et elle-même de la ruine.

Cette discussion ouvre un espace de dialogue sur :

◾ Les violences conjugales invisibles
◾ L’héritage culturel lié au corps féminin
◾ Le rapport des femmes au pouvoir au sein de la famille et de la société

الفيلم:
تدور أحداث "ملكة القطن" في قرية سودانية تعيش على زراعة القطن، كبرت نفيسة وهي تنسج خيالها على وقع حكايات جدتها عن بطولتها في مقاومة الاستعمار البريطاني. لكن حين يصل رجل أعمال سوداني شاب يحمل بذورًا معدلة وراثيًا، تجد نفيسة نفسها في محور صراع خفي حول مصير القرية ومستقبل أرضها. وبين أسطورة "ملكة القطن" والواقع الذي يفرض نفسه بقسوة، تنطلق نفيسة في معركةٍ لإنقاذ الحقول... وإنقاذ ذاتها من الضياع.

يفتح النقاش مساحة للحوار حول:

◾ العنف الأسري غير المرئي
◾ الموروثات الثقافية المرتبطة بجسد المرأة

The Film:

"The Cotton Queen" is set in a Sudanese village where cotton farming is the lifeblood of the community. Nafisa grew up weaving her imagination with tales from her grandmother about her heroism in resisting British colonialism. But when a young Sudanese businessman arrives with genetically modified seeds, Nafisa finds herself at the center of a hidden conflict over the fate of the village and the future of its land. Caught between the legend of the "Cotton Queen" and the harsh realities of life, Nafisa embarks on a battle to save the fields... and herself from ruin.

Si le répertoire des chansons soudanaises doit sa richesse à son patrimoine mélodique et aux textes tout comme au talent de ceux qui les ont interprétées, Mohamed Al Jazzar est de ceux là. Il a modernisé le répertoire musical soudanais.
Des films retraçant sa vie et sa carrière, une exposition, des témoignages de ses amis et des interprètes de ses chansons seront sur la scène de l'Institut français d’Égypte au Caire pour honorer sa mémoire.

سيُعرض في المعهد الفرنسي بمصر بالقاهرة، تكريماً لذكراه، أفلامٌ تستعرض حياته ومسيرته الفنية، ومعرض وشهاداتٌ من أصدقائه، وعروضٌ فنيةٌ يؤديها من غنوا أغانيه.

A tribute evening in memory of Sudanese singer Mohamed Faisal Al Jazzar.
While the richness of Sudanese song owes its appeal to its melodic heritage and lyrics, as well as to the talent of those who have performed them, Mohamed Al Jazzar is one of them. He modernized the Sudanese musical repertoire.
Films retracing his life and career, testimonials from his friends, and live performances of his songs will be shown at the French Institute of Egypt in Cairo to honor his memory and keep his legacy alive.

Superbe et vibrante fût la cérémonie d’ouverture de l’édition 2026 du festival international du film d'animation soudanais, Apedemak, consacré aux courts métrages d'animation fondé par l'artiste et réalisateur soudanais, Ibrahim Sayed. En sa présence, a été projeté le film promotionnel qu’il a réalisé en hommage aux victimes de la guerre au Soudan.

En ouverture deux courts métrages d’animation “The Red Wheel and the Boat,” et « A bicicleta vermelha” ont été présentés en l’honneur et présence du réalisateur brésilien Rodolfo Bionti.
Une rencontre au confluent de l’Amazone et du Nil.
De nombreuses personnalités soudanaises et égyptiennes ont assisté à la cérémonie à l'Institut français d'Egypte ainsi que les représentants de l’ambassade du Soudan en Egypte, de l’ambassade de Malte auprès de l’Egypte et du Soudan, de l’ambassade du Brésil en Egypte et du Goethe Institute auprès du Soudan.
Elle s’est clôturée en musique avec deux formations qui ont joué des chansons nubiennes que le public enthousiaste a entonnées en chœur.

كان حفل افتتاح دورة عام ٢٠٢٦ من مهرجان أبيدماك الدولي للأفلام القصيرة المتحركة في السودان، الذي أسسه الفنان والمخرج السوداني إبراهيم سيد، رائعًا ومفعمًا بالحيوية. وبحضوره، عُرض الفيلم الترويجي الذي أخرجه تكريمًا لضحايا الحرب في السودان.

افتُتح المهرجان بعرض فيلمين قصيرين للرسوم المتحركة، هما "العجلة الحمراء والقارب" و"الدراجة الحمراء"، قُدِّما تكريمًا للمخرج البرازيلي رودولفو بيونتي وبحضوره. يصوّر الفيلمان التقاء نهري الأمازون والنيل.

حضر الحفل عدد كبير من الشخصيات السودانية والمصرية البارزة، إلى جانب ممثلين عن السفارة السودانية في مصر، والسفارة المالطية في مصر والسودان، والسفارة البرازيلية في مصر، ومعهد غوته في السودان.
واختُتم الحفل بموسيقى قدمتها فرقتان غنائيتان نوبيتان، تفاعل معهما الجمهور بحماسٍ بالغ.

The opening ceremony of the 2026 edition of the Sudanese International Animated Film Festival, Apedemak, dedicated to animated short films and founded by Sudanese artist and director Ibrahim Sayed, was superb and vibrant. In his presence, the promotional film he created as a tribute to the victims of the war in Sudan was screened.

The event opened with two animated short films, “The Red Wheel and the Boat” and “A bicicleta vermelha” (The Red Bicycle), presented in honor of and in the presence of Brazilian director Rodolfo Bionti.

Many Sudanese and Egyptian public figures attended the ceremony at the French Institute In Egypt- Cairo, along with representatives from the Sudanese Embassy in Egypt, he Maltese Embassy in Egypt and Sudan, the Brazilian Embassy in Egypt, and the Goethe Institute in Sudan. The event concluded with music from two groups who performed Nubian songs, which the enthusiastic audience sang along to.
