Come to Munnen for the Tender Hands Printing Co-op! Against the “too-rough fingers of the world” we carve to heal, hope, and dream~* We carve images and words into plates of wood and MDF, making collective prints on textiles and paper. Open to all experience levels, just bring your curiosity about wood block printing. Tools and materials are provided.

We hope to organise this collaboratively with all those interested to participate! You’re also welcome to simply attend as you like. We are starting Tender Hands Printing Co-op inspired by A3BC in Tokyo, and daikon in the UK, which both uses collective graphic voices to visualize political struggles within different groups.

The Political Beekeeper’s Library, organised by Erik Sjödin, is an effort to collect and present books that draw parallels between how bees and humans are socially and politically organised. As one of the most written about animals in philosophy and literature, we’ll follow the storying of bees spanning from patriarchal monarchy to radical democracy.

Thursday October 22 2026, 18:00–19:30

In this first session of Stockholms Biblioteksbibliotek, Erik Sjödin will present this collection of books, currently installed at Munnen through Spring 2027. This is followed by an open conversation, and time to look through the books. Stockholms Biblioteksbibliotek is a series of public programmes which highlights self-organized book collections, sharing different perspectives on reading and being with books.

Erik Sjödin is an artist and researcher based in Stockholm. His practice explores interdependencies and interrelationships between humans and nonhumans as well as questions of being and becoming.

This event will be in English, and we can support each other with language accessiblity. Everyone is welcome.

Tea and snacks will be provided. Warm soup available with a small donations. The space also has a microwave in case you want to heat up food.

The gathering takes place at Munnen (The Mouth) Byälvsvägen 18, Bagarmossen, Stockholm. Munnen is located on the ground floor and has a wheelchair accessible front door, but unfortunately not an accessible bathroom.

She made her move, whispered ‘check-mate’ and I knew it was all over. I was broken, by her, shattered into checkered pieces. ‘Make me the pawn to your queen, honey’ I cried as defeat drenched me wet.

Femmes and qu**rs, welcome to our very own chess club! ‘Revenge’ is a color lipstick. Grace in loss is what we will practice and excel at.

The chess club is hosted by Misha Salome Bekele – an enthusiastic loser. Our first meeting will take place on Thursday the first of October, doors open at 18:30. An assortment of beverages and snacks will be provided. Please sign up via DM, as seats are limited.

We find love in devastation, as we rise from the ashes, over and over again. Sharp daggers!

Garden Book Circle!
Thursday September 17, 18:30–20:00

The Garden Book Circle is a reading group for garden enthusiasts and anyone curious about the world of gardening. Each session features a short text related to gardens, followed by an open discussion. We will explore gardening in its broadest sense- delving into folklore, magic, philosophy, horticulture, and indigenous systems of knowledge.

Amongst others, we will read texts by Jamaica Kincaid, Ruth Stout, Masanobu Fukuoka, Olivia Laing, and Rebecca Solnit. We will collectively expand our library by following the inputs from the book circle so as to include more heterogeneous perspectives in our readings.

No pre-reading is required. Texts will be provided on-site. The sessions are held in English. Everyone is welcome.

The Garden Book Circle is conceived and facilitated by artist Giulia Mattera Giulia Mattera

Summer Laundry Mixtapes: Gay, Giti and Gasoline // Afrang Nordlöf Malekian

This World Cup made me revisit childhood summer memories of watching ”Footbalistha”, or better known as ”Ganbare, Kickers!”, an anime series following the small but astonishing footballer Kakeru Daichi. The mix includes the series’ soundtrack, but at its heart, ”Gay, Giti and Gasoline” is a cute road-trip mixtape with superstars like Ramesh and Fairuz for the season of love and long drives to the sea. Laalaye, laalaye! - Afrang Nordlöf Malekian
