Happy Children Happy Future (HCHF) was founded by Gary Lau Hwei in June 2017. HCHF targets “Kindergarten 1 and 2, Primary 1 to 5 and Secondary 1 and 2 students”, who have weak academic performance in school and are from low-income families. Many times, these vulnerable children lacked tangible resources to succeed in their studies. With a lack of resources and opportunities, their future is affected. Therefore, HCHF aims to help ease their predicaments and improve their quality of life. Tuition will be complimentary.
What's more? Occasionally, we organise social events, such as outings and workshops, that will bring all volunteers and children together to have fun. It will be exciting and meaningful!
VOLUNTEER TUTORS
You can make a difference by joining us in providing free tuition to these kids. With your help, it improves the chance of them climbing the social ladder and secure a more fulfilling future! These kids will benefit academically (shaping their academic foundation) as well as, impacting their socio-ecological system. A better society awaits us.
Requirements
*For direct work (tuition), the minimum requirement would be GCE N-Level (Academic), respective subjects should be A2 or better. Other forms of assessment such as IELTS can be considered.
POTENTIAL TUTEES
Requirements
Parents/caregivers of potential tutees must live in a rental flat, OR
Per capita income (PCI) does not exceed $650
i.e. if you have 4 people living in one roof, the gross salary of every "working" adult in the household is to be totaled up (e.g. $2000 in total) and then divided into 4, which gives you $500 per person (PCI). Your child is, thus, eligible for our programme.
