The Shaw Library bids adieu to our teacher librarian, Ms Ong Siew Lian, who will be retiring from the school in July.

Ms Ong has served faithfully in MOE and ACSI since 1991 and 1996 respectively. During this time, she has taught numerous cohorts in her capacity as a Mother Tongue teacher and contributed greatly to the school.

Throughout her time in the Library, Ms Ong has consistently expressed her care and concern for the wellbeing of our Student Librarians. Students will remember with fondness the numerous pieces of wisdom and guidance that she provided. Her empathetic nature and positive spirit deeply endeared her to students and colleagues alike.

The Library expresses its sincere gratitude to Ms Ong for her extensive service and wishes her well as she enters the next phase of her life.

On 13 April 2024, the Shaw Library welcomed numerous guests as part of ACSI’s annual open house. Student librarians worked to ensure that the library was in excellent condition prior to the event and helped to entertain visitors by answering any queries they had about the library or the school.

The library would like to express its sincere gratitude to Mdm Susie, Ms Ong and all participating student librarians for taking the time to come down on a Saturday morning. Their efforts greatly contributed to the event’s success! We look forward to continuing our mission to serve the school body as a place of knowledge and learning.

To God be the glory, the best is yet to be!
