🌈 Parent-Child-Teacher Conference (PCTC) 2026 🌈

Our Parent-Child-Teacher Conference (PCTC) was a wonderful opportunity for parents, students, and teachers to come together and share in each child's learning journey. Through meaningful conversations, we celebrated progress, recognised strengths, and discussed ways to support our students' continued growth and development. 🌱✨

🌟 A Proud Moment for Yuhua Primary! 🌟

Earlier this term, four of our Primary 6 Malay Language students took part in Bisikan Pena, a Malay poetry competition organised by the Malay Language Society of the National University of Singapore. Based on the theme “Ukir” (“Carve”), participants had to not only write poetry, but also present it creatively and meaningfully.

After weeks of hard work, dedication and teamwork, our students proudly emerged as 🥉 3rd Place Winners!

Throughout this journey, they truly embodied the values of ACHIEVE — as Critical Thinkers through their creative ideas, Independent Learners in refining and practising their performances, and Encouraging Friends who supported one another every step of the way. 💫

The Malay Language Unit would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our School Leaders, teachers and parents for your unwavering support — especially those who liked and shared the students’ competition videos on Instagram and TikTok. Your encouragement meant so much to our students. ❤️

Our P6 Yuhualites explored living communities and food chain relationships in our school garden, learning how living things are connected within an ecosystem while growing a deeper appreciation for nature during their Science lessons. 🌿🐞🌱

DSA Through CCA Spotlight 🎶🏐

Our P6 Yuhualites had an enriching opportunity to learn more about DSA pathways through CCA as Yuhua Secondary School introduced three of their niche CCAs — 🏐Volleyball, 🥁Percussion (Brass Band & Angklung), and 🎤Choir.

Students gained deeper insights into the skills, passion, commitment, and opportunities that these CCAs can offer, while discovering how their interests and talents can be developed further in secondary school. 🌟

PSLE Prep Sharing — Learning from those who have been through it! 💪

Our ex-students from Nan Hua High, Clementi Town Secondary and SOTA returned to share valuable PSLE preparation strategies, study tips, and personal experiences with our P6 Yuhualites. The interactive Q&A session also gave students the chance to ask questions and ease their worries as they gear up for the PSLE journey ahead.

DSA Sharing Session!

Our P6 Yuhualites had the opportunity to hear firsthand from our ex-students who successfully entered MGS and Huayi Secondary via DSA! From preparation tips to interview experiences, our seniors generously shared their journey and insights during an engaging Q&A session.

This was a meaningful platform for our Yuhualites to gain clarity, confidence, and inspiration as they explore their own pathways ahead! 🌟

ECG on the Move!

Through “ECG on the Move”, our Yuhualites explored their strengths, interests, and possible future pathways! 🌟

From discovering industries they can relate to, to understanding how different occupations contribute meaningfully to society, our students gained deeper insights into their future selves.

Meaningful reflections were recorded via SLS and shared with parents, making learning purposeful and connected beyond the classroom!

Empowering every child to learn with purpose, grow with confidence, and envision the future with the end in mind. 💭✨

🇹🇭 Overseas Internationalisation Programme
[19th to 23rd May]

Our P5 Yuhualites immersed themselves in Bangkok's vibrant culture, balancing academic connection with historical exploration.

They engaged with local students at a partner school to build global friendships, and discovered Thailand's heritage by exploring iconic cultural landmarks like the Grand Palace.

Beyond the classroom, this trip provided valuable opportunities for our Yuhualites to learn, connect, and appreciate the beauty of cultural diversity!

It was wonderful to see our P3 to P6 Prefects come together for the Student Leadership Training Workshop. Through the 7 Habits, planning activities, and learning about their duties, they took meaningful steps in their journey as leaders. We are proud to walk alongside them as they grow and look forward to seeing them lead with care and confidence! 💛

We had our Principal Commendation Awards (PCA) ceremonies these two weeks to recognise our P1-6 Yuhualites on their good work. The PCA is awarded to Yuhualites who have put in outstanding effort to improve their conduct and behaviour and/or demonstrated commendable progress in their learning disposition. It aims to encourage our Yuhualites to strive towards improvement and excellence.
