Singapore has been studying nuclear energy more than a decade ago as an alternative to strengthen our energy security.
✅ For now, our focus is on building capabilities to make an informed decision through the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) Phase 1 Mission.
❌ This is not a decision to deploy nuclear energy.
Any decision to do so will need to consider the safety, reliability, affordability and environmental impact in Singapore’s context.
