Singapore was happy to host the 2nd Singapore-UK Public Service Roundtable last week, which brought together senior leaders from The Singapore Public Service and UK Government.
Led by Singapore’s Head of Civil Service Leo Yip, and UK Cabinet Secretary Sir Chris Wormald, the roundtable saw a spirited exchange of insights on how both countries' civil services could build harmonious and liveable societies, including the thoughtful design of social policies, securing sustainable and resilient energy, and delivering seamless and citizen-centric public value.
The programme concluded with a visit to GovTech (Government Technology Agency of Singapore), where delegates had a firsthand view of Singapore's Digital Government innovations.
The Public Service Roundtable is one facet of the Singapore-UK Strategic Partnership in action, and we look forward to more exchanges to come!

Happy SG60, everyone!
We rang in Singapore’s 60th birthday with our colleagues at The Treasury yesterday by participating in some fun activities, singing the National Anthem together, and even playing a nostalgic game of Guess the Iconic Place. Let us know how you’re celebrating this year in the comments!

How can we build trusted and effective Public Services that keep pace with citizens’ needs? This was at the heart of discussions between the public sector leaders of Singapore and Malaysia at the 10th Joint Seminar and 41st Public Service Games held in Singapore over the weekend.
Mr Leo Yip, Head of the Singapore Civil Service, and Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Bin Abu Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, met and strengthened ties between both Services on the sidelines of the event.
Ms Tan Gee Keow, Permanent Secretary of the Public Service Division Singapore, also met Tan Sri Wan Ahmad Dahlan, Director General of Malaysia’s Public Service Department. They discussed initiatives to enhance bilateral cooperation between both Public Services.
We look forward to deeper collaboration and exchange of ideas with our Malaysian counterparts for new ways to transform our Public Service workforce to build capabilities for the future.

Earlier this week, we hosted delegates from the ក្រសួងមហាផ្ទៃ Ministry of Interior Cambodia at ServiceSG Centre Woodlands. Led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha, the visit was part of a three-day official work trip hosted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore.
During the visit, ServiceSG Chief Executive Officer Lim Sze Ling shared how ServiceSG is transforming the delivery of Government services to support Singaporeans at every stage of life.
Our ServiceSG centres located in the heartlands help ensure residents have easy access to public officers, particularly residents who are less confident using digital Government services. ServiceSG officers are equipped to go the extra mile to better understand residents’ needs and advise them on other services from various public agencies that may meet their needs.
As we strive to build more seamless experiences for citizens and businesses, we look forward to greater collaboration and more exchanges with fellow nations committed to public service excellence.
