Passionate Learners, Confident Leaders. In WVPS, we believe that every pupil is unique and endowed with different gifts and talents.

It is up to each of us to discover and grow these gifts and talents of every pupil. Indeed, this school is more than mere mortar and bricks that the buildings are made of; this school is an institution of vibrant learning, a place where pupils discover their innate talents and abilities, broaden their horizons and excel to their personal best.

Little minds, big discovery! Let’s get ready for T.E.A. Time!

Every semester, we have our T.E.A. Time initiative at MK@West View. It is a unique programme that empowers our teachers as thinkers to create enriching and authentic learning experiences for children, inspired by their own strengths, interest and creativity! ✨

Children immersed themselves in different hands-on experiences filled with music, art, discovery and experimentation. The activities allowed the children to learn new concepts, express their creativity and explore new techniques and strategies outside of the usual daily curriculum.

Most importantly, the programme sparks joy, curiosity and excitement in the children and it is reflected through the thoughtful planning of our teachers in making learning engaging and meaningful! 🧡

Building Global Citizens Through Meaningful Experiences

From 19 to 22 May, our Primary 4 & 5 students embarked on an enriching internationalisation journey to Vietnam, deepening their global awareness, sustainability mindset, and commitment to service.

Through immersive experiences, students engaged in cultural exchange with Singapore International School (Da Nang), explored heritage sites such as Hoi An, and participated in hands-on activities like pottery and lantern making. Their visit to Ba Na Hills further broadened their understanding of cultural diversity and environmental practices.

More than just a trip, the programme strengthened 21st Century Competencies—enhancing cross-cultural communication, environmental responsibility, and service-learning. Students demonstrated their readiness through thoughtful reflections and lived out our TALENT values: Trustworthy, Active in Learning, Empathetic, Enterprising, and Tenacious.

We are proud of how our students have grown into more globally aware and socially responsible individuals, inspired to make a positive difference in the world.

🌟Little feet, big adventures! Let’s go on a field trip!

Our K1 children explored the different shops in the neighbourhood while our K2 children put their kind words into good use at Kidztropic! They had an amazing time exploring, learning, laughing, and making wonderful memories together. From curious questions to excited smiles, every moment was filled with joy and discovery! 🚌✨

Hands-on learning outside the classroom is always extra special, and our little explorers truly enjoyed their mini adventures! 💛

The Primary 5 pupils had an enriching and exciting visit to the Indian Heritage Centre where learning came alive through hands-on activities and interactive experiences. During the visit, the pupils explored the rich Indian culture in many multi-sensory ways. They had the opportunity to smell different spices, touch and observe traditional musical instruments, and learn about the contributions of Indian pioneers in Singapore’s history. The pupils also enjoyed trying out some basic Indian dance moves, making the experience both educational and fun.

Through these engaging activities, the pupils gained a deeper appreciation of Indian heritage, culture, and traditions while creating meaningful memories with their classmates.

Our Primary 4 pupils brought their Social Studies learning to life during a meaningful learning journey to the Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery.

From exploring Pagoda Street and traditional shophouses to learning about the stories of early Chinese migrants, pupils gained a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s rich heritage and multicultural roots. They also enjoyed immersive hands-on experiences such as Nanyin music, Chinese opera, puppetry, tea appreciation, calligraphy and traditional knotting.

Through thoughtful discussions and meaningful connections to their own family stories, pupils deepened their understanding of heritage, identity and pride in our shared roots.

In West View, we recognise pupils who consistently demonstrate our TALENT values — Trustworthy, Active in Learning, Empathetic, Enterprising, and Tenacious — through their acts of kindness and positive character both in class and around the school.

Following nominations from both students and teachers, we are proud to present the “Catch ME Doing Good” recognition to pupils who have exemplified these values in their daily actions.

Congratulations to all recipients! We hope they will continue to shine and be positive influences on their peers.

Through the “Catch ME Doing Good” initiative, these meaningful actions are celebrated as valuable teachable moments that inspire our school community.
