The champion of ITE College Central’s World Cup-inspired tournament has been crowned! 🏆⚽

Congratulations to Team Panama 🇵🇦 for emerging victorious after weeks of fierce competition in a final decided by penalties, with Team South Africa 🇿🇦 putting up a strong fight in a tightly contested match. Credit also goes to Team Korea 🇰🇷 for securing third place.

Featuring 48 student teams representing countries competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the competition brought together passion, teamwork and sportsmanship in celebration of football’s biggest stage.

Well done to all participating teams for making this an exciting and memorable tournament! 👏

Using Amazon Bedrock, a cloud computing service, ITE College West students developed an AI-powered app that creates personalised healthy drink recipes tailored to individual taste preferences and Nutri-Grade goals.

The six-member team was one of the 10 teams that snagged the Lee Kuan Yew Technology Award at the recent Student Achievers’ Awards 2026! 🏆 Kudos to the team for harnessing technology to inspire healthier drink choices!📱🍸

The ignITE Skills Challenge 2026 has officially concluded with an exciting finale held at ITE College East today! 🔥

Now in its 10th edition, the annual competition saw its highest-ever participation, with a record 1,962 secondary school students signing up to explore their interests, discover new skills, and tackle exciting real-world challenges 👏 Across themes ranging from Agility IgnITEd – Human Science & Wellness Innovation, Sustainability IgnITEd – Greenovation & Sustainable Design and Technology IgnITEd – Technology & Intelligent System, students demonstrated incredible creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills throughout the competition.

We were honoured to have Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education & National Development, as our Guest-of-Honour. During his inspiring speech, he reminded us, "The value of this experience lies not in the final outcomes, but also in the process — the way you experimented, adapted to constraints, collaborated as teams, and learnt from failures."

A huge congratulations to all participants and finalists for giving it your best! 🏅 And a special mention to this year’s Overall Champion, Spectra Secondary School, for clinching the Champion Trophy with the highest medal tally 🏆👏
