⚡ Did you know? EV fires behave very differently from normal car fires.

Lithium battery fires can:
🔥 Burn at extremely high temperatures
🔥 Reignite even after being extinguished
🔥 Produce toxic smoke

That’s why EV Fire Blankets are becoming an essential safety solution for:

• Car parks
• EV charging stations
• Workshops
• Dealerships
• Emergency responders

Our EV Fire Blanket (6m by 9m) helps contain the fire, reduce oxygen, and prevent it from spreading.

Safety for the future of electric mobility starts with preparation.

[Fire at 6 Kovan Rise]

Early this morning (19 February) at about 2:30am, SCDF was alerted to a fire at the abovementioned location.

Firefighters from Sengkang Fire Station, supported by Paya Lebar Fire Station and Kallang Fire Station, responded to this incident.

Upon SCDF’s arrival, a unit on the 14th floor was on fire. Firefighters heard shouts for help and sounds of pounding on doors from within the unit. Firefighters immediately entered the smoke-filled unit and began a search of the two-storey unit. Six persons were rescued - four from the first level and two from the second level.

The fire, which involved the kitchen and living room on the first level, was extinguished with one water jet. The rest of the unit sustained varying degrees of heat and smoke damage.

Of the six persons rescued, three were assessed for smoke inhalation. One of them also sustained burn injuries. All three persons were conveyed to Singapore General Hospital. The remaining three were assessed and did not require ambulance assistance.

About 100 people had self-evacuated from the affected block prior to SCDF’s arrival.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Last night, a fire broke out at a dry goods stall in 628 Market, and thankfully no one was injured. I went down early this morning to check on the situation and to make sure everything was okay for our stallholders. Singapore Civil Defence Force responded promptly to put out the fire, and Ang Mo Kio Town Council helped to clear the debris while investigations are ongoing. I thanked them for their assistance.

Let us all do our part to keep our stalls safe by storing items properly and removing fire hazards, so we can look out for one another and our shared space.
