What does it take to maintain public trust in the courts today?

In a media interview, Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon spoke about issues that affect all of us - from โ€œtruth decayโ€ and social media commentary, to the responsible use of AI, the future of the legal profession, and access to justice.

He shared how the courts continue to focus on explaining decisions clearly, making court processes easier to understand, and using technology carefully and responsibly so that justice remains accessible to the people who need it.

The interview comes as Singapore marks 200 years of its legal history - a reminder of the importance of maintaining public trust and ensuring that the courts continue to serve society fairly and independently.
