𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏?

We were delighted to host Methodist Welfare Services at PCS Cedar Tree AAC Care - Potong Pasir 108, and thank them for gaining deeper insights into inclusive employment while partnering us in this shared mission.

During the visit, our guests had the opportunity to observe our 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆𝑨𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒆 (𝑪𝑨𝑷) interns in action. The interns befriended seniors and assisted with social and recreational activities — demonstrating how inclusive employment builds confidence and creates meaningful impact. It was encouraging to hear that the MWS team gained deeper insights into 𝑪𝑨𝑷 and were impressed by what our interns are capable of achieving.

𝑪𝑨𝑷 addresses a critical gap: persons with special needs often face under-employment, while community care organisations face manpower shortages — highlighting the opportunity for community care organisations to build a sustainable pool of talent.

We invite community care organisations to partner us in providing internships and employment opportunities for persons with special needs. Together, we can build a more inclusive workforce.

We shared an overview of our senior services, featuring a live look at our CareAbilities Programme (CAP) training for persons with special needs and our vibrant AAC on Wheels activities.

Our 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆𝑨𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒆 (𝑪𝑨𝑷) trainees assisted during the AAC on Wheels @ Potong Pasir Blk 136 Pavilion session on 29 April 2026, supporting seniors through engaging and meaningful activities. They applied what they learnt in the classroom and helped facilitate games such as Boccia, Disc Golf, and Rummy O, while encouraging active participation and social interaction.
Similar to this session, CAP features many opportunities for hands-on learning through simulated training and internships. This helps trainees apply what they have learnt to become competent Care Support Assistants once they graduate.

𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐 𝒔𝒐𝒇𝒕 𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚?

At a recent session of 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠@𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟐: 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒎-𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 session, trainees explored the topic “How Will I Go About It?”. Trainees actively engaged in discussions and hands-on activities that encouraged collaboration and strengthened their problem-solving skills. These are key skills that are vital in the workplace and help boost the employability of trainees.
