Our Embassy participated at the 35th European Film Festival, on 16th May, with the film "Stelios", directed by Yorgos Tsemberopoulos and starring Christos Mastoras.
The film received warm reviews by the audience!

We would like to thank, once again, the EU, the Film Society and the Filmhouse for organizing the festival, the production company of the movie "Tanweer", as well as the Greek Tourism Organization and Municipality of Santorini for the promotional videos.

Honoured to welcome Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance, together with Members of Parliament Nadia Ahmad Samdin and Christopher de Souza, ambassadors and distinguished guests for this special celebration.

From the inspiring origins of the Schuman Declaration in 1950 to today’s dynamic EU–Singapore partnership, Europe Day celebrates peace, cooperation and shared progress.

The evening featured addresses by EU Ambassador Artis Bērtulis and our Guest-of-Honour Minister Jeffrey Siow, followed by ceremonial toasts celebrating the enduring friendship between Singapore and the European Union.

And of course, no Europe Day celebration is complete without authentic EU food & drinks in great company.🥂

Θα θέλαμε να σας ενημερώσουμε ότι μετά τις 03/08/2026 το δελτίο αστυνομικής ταυτότητας παλαιού τύπου παύει να ισχύει ως ταξιδιωτικό έγγραφο.

Ως εκ τούτου, οι ενδιαφερόμενοι θα πρέπει να προβούν στις απαιτούμενες ενέργειες για την έκδοση ελληνικού διαβατηρίου ή την έκδοση νέου τύπου αστυνομικής ταυτότητας.

Υπενθυμίζεται ότι το αίτημα για έκδοση νέου τύπου αστυνομικής ταυτότητας μπορεί να υποβληθεί μόνον στην Ελλάδα (Ελληνική Αστυνομία), μέσω της ψηφιακής πλατφόρμας gov.gr (https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/polites-kai-kathemerinoteta/stoikheia-polite-kai-tautopoietika-eggrapha/id), ενώ το αίτημα για έκδοση ελληνικού διαβατηρίου μπορεί να υποβληθεί στο Προξενικό Γραφείο της Αρχής μας.

We would like to inform you that after 03/08/2026 the old type police identity card ceases to be valid as a travel document.

Therefore, interested parties should take the necessary steps to issue a Greek passport or a new type police identity card.

Please note that the request for the issuance of a new type of police identity card can only be submitted in Greece (Hellenic Police), through the gov.gr digital platform (https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/polites-kai-kathemerinoteta/stoikheia-polite-kai-tautopoietika-eggrapha/id), while the request for the issuance of a Greek passport can be submitted to the Consular Office of our Embassy.

Greece is participating this year with the film "Stelios" , directed by Yorgos Tsemberopoulos and starring Christos Mastoras .
It is a movie for those who love music and the stories shaping the musical notes.

It has been awarded with Best Supporting Actress for Klelia Renesi and Costume Design at the Hellenic Film Academy Awards (2025), as well as Best Narrative Feature at The South London Film Festival (2025).

Our film will be projected on the 16th May @ 17:00pm. 🇬🇷
