President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industries Mr Mahbubul Alam paid a courtesy call to the Chairman of Singapore Business Federation (SBF) Mr S S Teo at SBF Center on 4th August accompanied by BDCham President Mr Mirza Golam Sabur, General Secretary Mr Nashirul Islam Moni, Mr. Asaad Mamun, Mr Babul Akther and Mr. Khorshed Alam Chowdhury.

Fruitful discussion took place on ways to improve the bilateral trade and Investment relations between Bangladesh and Singapore.

IE Singapore and Singapore Business Federation hosted a Round Table Conference on 3rd August at the SBF Centre chaired by the SBF Chairman Mr. S S Teo. BDCham team was headed by its President Mr. Mirza Golam Sabur.

Bangladesh team was headed by Chairman of BIDA Mr. Kazi Aminul Islam and attended by Principal Coordinator for Sustainable Development Growth (SDG) Affairs, Prime Minister's office, Bangladesh Mr. Abul Kalam Azad, Governor of Bangladesh Bank Mr. Fazle Kabir, Foreign Secretary Mr. Shahidul Haque, Commerce Secretary Mr. Shubashish Bose, Executive Chairman BEZA Mr. Paban Chowdhury, Housing and Public Works Secretary Mr. Shahid Khondaker, Secretary Power Div Dr. Kaikaus, Chairman Chittagong Port Rear Admiral Khaled Iqbal.
Very important and fruitful bilateral trade and Investment discussion took place. All concerned appreciated the Business Mission to Bangladesh in July 2017 an initiative taken by BDCham and SBF. This back to back interaction should pave the way for closer ties with Singapore and Bangladesh.

Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and BDCham visited Bangladesh from 8th July to 14th July 2017 with a delegates of 40 Singaporean businessmen. This was a first ever business mission from Singapore to Bangladesh.
The mission was headed by Mr. S S Teo, the Chairman of SBF assisted by the Vice Chairman of SBF and President of Singapore Indian Chamber Dr. Theyvendran and President of BDCham Mr. Mirza Golam Sabur.
3-day seminar and networking at Dhaka and 2-day seminar and networking at Chittagong opened many opportunities for the businessmen of Singapore and Bangladesh.
BDCham delegates took active roles to ensure the success of the mission. We are confident that this initiative will bring BDCham, MTI, IE Singapore and SBF closer. BDCham management recognises the importance of working closely with the main business agencies of Singapore to take the objectives of BDCham forward.
BDCham management gives thanks to the delegates who came forward to support the mission's activities. Special thanks to Mr. Khorshed Alam Chowdhury and Mr. Shahiduzzaman for hosting dinners and arranging additional logistics at Chittagong and Dhaka respectively. Mr. Babul Akther and Mr. Asaad Mamun provided excellent coordination with FBCCI and Chittagong Chamber. Let us keep up the spirit.

BDCham and SBF delegates received a warm welcome at Dhaka airport from FBCCI and Mr. Saber Hossain Chowdhury.

BDCham and SBF delegates are leaving Singapore for Dhaka for the 7-day Business Mission.

Pre Business Mission to Bangladesh Briefing :
A joint briefing session with Singapore Business Federation, IE Singapore, Singapore Trade Ministry and other stakeholders was held at the SBF Centre. BDCham President and Deputy Mission Leader briefed the finer details of the trip with regard to security and safety. Ms. Renee Koh and Mr. Mark Yeo elaborated further details of the mission.
Briefing was attended by the BDCham delegates accompanied by General Secretary Mr Nashirul Islam Moni, Joint Secretary Ahamed Ali Khan and Council Members Prof Dr M A Rahim, Asaad Mamun, Shamsur Rahman Philip, Babul Akther, Khorshed Alam Chowdhury, Roselan Araf and Rumi Kamrun.

Singapore Business Federation and Bangladesh Business Chamber of Singapore are getting ready for Business Mission to Bangladesh from 8th July to 14th July 2017. The management of BDCham is seeking dua from all its members and wellwishers for its success.
