Ever wondered how it looks like when an organisation truly puts AI to work for good?

On 6 March, Empact hosted an intimate session at Enabling Village as part of our Pro Bono School series on AI for Good: The Case of BOKE Foundation, bringing together key partners and practitioners across the philanthropy and non-profit ecosystem.

BOKE Foundation shared about their experience adopting AI: the practical insights, the honest challenges, and the principles that guided them. Our team at Empact also shared our AI for Good initiative, our commitment to showcasing responsible, effective applications of AI in the social impact space.

This is just the beginning of grounding conversations in real experience, and building the groundwork for collective action.

Empact was honoured to receive the 10-Year longstanding raiSE Social Enterprise Recognition at raiSE’s (RAISE SG) 10th Anniversary celebration on 8 January 2026. 🌟

This recognition is a meaningful affirmation of Empact’s journey as a social enterprise since 2011, and our continued commitment to strengthening the social sector through capacity building in Singapore and across the region.

Over the past decade, it has been a privilege to walk alongside raiSE and many like-minded partners in building a vibrant and collaborative social enterprise ecosystem. This milestone belongs to everyone in Empact who has believed in the power of impact and worked tirelessly to deliver meaningful outcomes for the organisations and communities we serve.

Looking ahead, our team at Empact is excited to keep learning and innovating with the sector. Recognising the role of technology in enhancing social service delivery and impact, Empact had organised an AI learning journey to China in 2025. This year, we have scheduled two learning journeys (April and October) for social organisations to explore how technology could enhance their work and social impact.

Beyond learning journeys, there will be roundtable discussions and hands-on workshops to further strengthen the capabilities of social organisations and support their long-term impact.

If you are keen to partner with us, join our upcoming programmes, or explore how Empact can support your organisation’s capacity-building journey, reach out to us [email protected] or follow our page for updates.

As we kick off the new year, Empact was pleased to welcome the SIM Accounting Association (SIMAA)’s 27th cohort of student volunteers to our new office at Enabling Village on 15 December, as part of their onboarding session.

The session marked the start of a volunteering journey for 8 Accounting students from RMIT, University of Birmingham (UoB), and University of London (UOL), together with members of the SIMAA ExCo, who will be supporting Empact’s Shared Services until June 2026.

Through this skills-based volunteering engagement, student volunteers will have the opportunity to apply and deepen their accounting knowledge while contributing their skills to support social organisations behind the scenes.

This onboarding also marks the continuation of Empact’s long standing partnership with SIMAA, built on a shared commitment to developing young talent through meaningful, hands-on learning while strengthening the social sector.

We look forward to journeying alongside this cohort in the year ahead as they learn, grow, and make a positive impact.

As Empact steps into 2026, the team takes a moment to reflect on the impact built in 2024, the momentum carried through 2025, and the work that continues ahead.

2025 marked an important milestone for Empact with our move to Enabling Village, a space dedicated to inclusion, collaboration, and innovation. Being part of the Enabling Village community has further anchored our commitment to the disability sector and created new opportunities for learning, dialogue, and capacity-building with our partners.

We are also pleased to share our refreshed website, now structured around Empact Core Services, offering a clearer picture of how the organisation supports impact across individuals, organisations, and ecosystems.

Within the refreshed website, you may access our latest Impact Report which captures a year of meaningful growth, supporting 276 social organisations, training 918 individuals, and mobilising 825 volunteers across 19 locations in the region.

As shared by our CEO and Founder, Peter Yang, 2024 marked a year where Empact scaled beyond service provision, contributing to sector-wide frameworks, piloting trust-based philanthropy models, and deepening partnerships across Singapore and the region. This momentum carried into 2025, where we continued to strengthen capacity, refine our approaches, and deepen our work across individuals, organisations, and the wider ecosystem.

Thank you to our partners, social organisations, volunteers, and collaborators for journeying with us. We look forward to building greater impact together in the year ahead.

In November, Empact partnered with National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre to facilitate and deliver a 2-day Impact Measurement Workshop for 19 charities, equipping participants with the skills and confidence to measure and communicate their impact more effectively.

Across the sessions, our team guided participants through practical frameworks and tools to develop a clear and coherent Theory of Change (ToC), translate their ToC into compelling fundraising narratives on Giving.sg, and strengthen their ability to communicate impact to donors and supporters.

The workshop received an encouraging feedback where 80% of participants shared that the workshop format was effective in helping them learn and apply the concepts, and that they gained meaningful insights and knowledge they could take back to their organisations.

A big thank you to all participants for your active engagement, thoughtful insights and meaningful conversations throughout the sessions.

If your organisation is looking to strengthen how you measure, articulate and report your impact, don’t miss the upcoming workshops. Learn more and register at: https://tinyurl.com/im-workshop2

We look forward to supporting more charities on their impact measurement journey!

From intern to volunteer, meet Divya — who first joined Empact as a Shared Services intern and later returned as a volunteer to continue contributing to the mission she believes in.

During her internship with our Shared Services team, she applied her accounting knowledge to real-world finance operations and gained a deeper understanding of how finance supports the work of social organisations.

What brought her back? A supportive team, meaningful learning, and the desire to continue growing while giving back.
