Ambassador Lui attended SelectUSA2026 with Enterprise Singapore, the Singapore Business Federation, and more than 30 Singapore companies from diverse sectors including advanced manufacturing, healthcare and biomedical sciences, and emerging technologies.

At the Singapore Reception, which drew close to 300 attendees, Ambassador Lui highlighted the depth and strength of the Singapore-US economic ties. This relationship underpins investments from over 250 Singapore companies across 45 states.

Ambassador Lui also had fruitful meetings with Assistant Secretary of Commerce David Fogel, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, and Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger. They discussed potential areas for collaboration and how we can support Singapore companies’ investments in the various US states.

[Commemorating 60 years of Singapore-US diplomatic relations and the 250th anniversary of American independence]

Singapore Ambassador to the US Lui Tuck Yew and US Ambassador to Singapore Anjani Sinha signed a Memorandum of Cooperation earlier this week for both countries to jointly commemorate these two special milestones. This is one of many occasions this year to celebrate and promote the deep partnership and ties between both countries.

Together, we have made great progress in the past 60 years in many sectors from trade and economics, security and defence, to frontier technologies. We look forward to working with the US to strengthen our ties for the next 60 years and beyond.

The Singapore Embassy will be participating in the city-wide Passport DC: Around the World Embassy Tour on 2 May 2026!

We welcome you to visit our ‘Yours Visually, Singapore’ open house to experience the sights and sounds of our “city in a garden”. A specially curated collection of Singapore’s visual arts, culture and heritage will also be featured to celebrate 60 years of diplomatic ties between Singapore and the United States, as well as 250 years of American independence.

This open house will be open to all members of the public. We look forward to seeing you at our embassy!

Ambassador Lui was pleased to visit the Harvard Kennedy School last week, at the invitation of Ambassador Nicholas Burns, Roy and Barbara Goodman Family Professor of the Practice of Diplomacy and International Relations.

Ambassador Lui enjoyed the wide-ranging and thought-provoking discussions with students and faculty on global and regional developments. Thank you to the Harvard community for your hospitality!

Great to see so many familiar faces (and meet new ones!) at our reception for the Singaporean community in Boston last week.

Ambassador and Mrs Lui were delighted to reconnect with Singaporeans across different fields over an evening filled with warmth, lively conversations and camaraderie. It was a wonderful reminder that no matter how far we are from home, the Singapore spirit keeps us closely connected.

Ambassador Lui was pleased to meet Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll during his recent trip to Boston. They exchanged views on geopolitical developments and discussed ways to deepen partnerships and people-to-people links.
