π Latest World Rubber Industry Outlook (Feb 2023) is now available from International Rubber Study Group (IRSG)! π
The global demand weakened in 2022 further to a robust recovery in 2021. A gloomy development in the global sector, affected by the prolonged supply bottlenecks and semiconductor shortage, has continued to exert downward pressures on original equipment (OE) production and sales, which resulted in an adverse impact on the worldβs rubber consumption. Total rubber demand declined γ½οΈmarginally in 2022, mainly caused by a contraction in the sectorβs demand. The is estimated to rebound by 2.6% to 30.64 million tonnes in 2023.
