Thank you MSF Families for Life for inviting our Executive Director, Ms Lew Mi Yih, to be the guest speaker at the “Heart to Heart Talk on Marriage & Relationships” fireside chat for young adults aged 20-40. Held from 9-11 March, the 3-day event drew 274 participants across Tampines Hub, West Coast CC, and Fernvale CC. It was heartening to see so many engaged in meaningful conversations on relationships, marriage, and the importance of marriage preparation programmes.

A big shoutout to the 36 enthusiastic students from Anderson Secondary School’s Environmental Club! They created a wonderful video to promote thrifting at The Barn@AMK after attending a learning journey programme at Cornerstone@ChengSan Active Ageing Centre on 30 March.

During the session, they discovered the benefits of thrifting and explored inspiring eco-friendly initiatives within the community. This programme is open to schools and corporates. Email: [email protected] to find out more.

We are proud to launch the Cornerstone Kakis Programme this April at Orchard Towers - a vibrant active ageing initiative specially designed for seniors aged 50 and above.

First introduced in 2024 across Katong and Joo Chiat, Cornerstone Kakis has already grown into a thriving community of over 85 members and we are excited to expand this momentum to Orchard Towers. Come be part of our growing community and discover the joy of ageing actively together.

A group of 30 seniors from Kakis Club under the Cornerstone Kakis programme recently visited the “T5 In the Making” exhibition at Changi Airport Terminal 3 on 16 March. They had a wonderful time exploring the immersive showcase, which offers a glimpse into Singapore’s next chapter in air travel. Inspired by what they saw, the group left feeling proud of how far Singapore has come and excited for what lies ahead.

On 28 February, we brought festive cheer to 44 children and adults from the Cornerstone Collective programme with a special Chinese New Year and Ramadan celebration.

With the amazing support of our 13 volunteers, the event was filled with warmth, laughter, and togetherness. Highlights of the evening included a delicious buffet dinner, a CNY lohei, joyful singalongs, and hands-on ketupat envelope making activity. It was a meaningful celebration of culture, community, and connection - made possible by the families, volunteers and staff who came together to make the day special.

It was a meaningful occasion for more than 200 students and their families as they gathered for the Cornerstone Development Initiatives (CDI) School Allowance Award Ceremony 2026 on 7 February.

Made possible by the generosity and unwavering support of our donors and volunteers, we awarded annual renewable school allowances of $720 to each primary student and $960 to each secondary student under this initiative.

In addition, close to 15 students were recognised on stage with the CDI Outstanding Co-Curricular Activity Award (OCCA) for their dedication and excellence in their co-curricular pursuits.

We are honoured to journey alongside our students and their families as a caring community, supporting them as they navigate life’s challenges and work towards a brighter future.

We were delighted to welcome 38 staff from OCBC to our Learning Journey - Ageing in Community session funded by MSF Families for Life on 21 January. It was a meaningful and engaging experience, as participants gained deeper insights into ageing-related issues, government policies, and the community resources and services supporting the evolving needs of seniors.

We appreciate OCBC’s support and commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of our ageing population, and look forward to more continued partnerships with other corporates in building a more age-inclusive and supportive community for our seniors.

We kicked off 2026 with a meaningful learning journey on 26 January for our staff and volunteers who support our works in prison!

Titled “Ageing in the Community (Prison Edition)”, the session explored the ageing landscape in the community and the important role volunteers play in promoting active ageing in prison. Participants had a hands-on experience through ageing simulation activities and learned about the resources and services available to support seniors in the community.

A truly engaging and eye-opening session to start the year on a purposeful note!

Inmates are often among the most overlooked members of our society, yet many are seeking hope, restoration, and a second chance. We are committed to walking alongside them through programmes like Cornerstone Kakis (Kakis Club) and Family Matters Workshop that offer practical support, encouragement, and reintegration into the community.

By giving or volunteering, you can partner with us to bring hope and transformation to the lives of inmates. Visit bit.ly/ccsgiving2025 to learn more.
