Our third winner goes to Liu Li Hong from class CY2501E, HN in Cyber & Network Security, with three supporters!

Li Hong and his classmates visit the Library often to use the Idea Rooms for work discussion/studying. They are also no strangers to the myriad of Library activities we have held, including last year’s Read for Books.

These students are now in Year 2, and soon they will be going for their internship. We wish Li Hong and friends a smooth internship, and we hope to see you guys again next year very soon for our Library’s activities. Thanks for bringing vibrancy to the Library and making our work even more worthwhile. 🫶

Congratulations to Sim Kah Le, Leon, for being our 2nd top winners at Library@Central’s ebook roadshow!

Hailing from HN in Passenger Services, BP2504U, Leon remarked the Libby App is useful and that the roadshow has helped to create awareness of both ebooks and availability of OverDrive. He also cited the roadshow was timely as the school vacation is just around the corner, so he can explore further the ebooks in OverDrive then.

Thank you, Leon. Do let us know what else you like to read the next time!

Ta-da! Here’s our first lucky top 5 winners at our recent eBook Roadshow 2026: Tan Ka Lin Angeline of class DV2604N, HN in Visual Merchandising! 🥳

An avid reader, Angeline digs Fiction and she has also recommended some titles for the Library to purchase so that she can get her hands on the latest fiction reads.

Before Ann Liang’s I could Give You the Moon (yes, super new book - our dear vendor texted me immediately on the availability of the book) could hit our display shelves, Angeline has got her hands on it.

Between print and digital, Angeline has expressed her preference for print as “I could feel the books and I can flip the pages.”

To each of individual’s preference. Are you Team Print Booms or Team eBooks? Let us know in the comments 👇 below.

You know it is exam period when 👉

✍️ students are using the rooms at full capacity to revise or teach their classmates the main points
💪 some prefer to self-study
😺 others find strength in having their plushies with them

Whichever your style or preference, Library@Central is happy you have chosen the Library as your preferred studying venue.

Here’s wishing all of you the best in your exams, tests and assignments!

Behind every balloon column and deco that you see displayed in the Library is the hard, dedicated work coming from students from the Balloon Sculpting Club.

To ensure the arch sits perfectly, there needs to be coordination, adjustments and experimentation just to get it right! Today I finally had the chance to take a short vid of the students adjusting the column.

On top of that, I have learned from Kah Yi, one of the Balloon Sculpting Club members, how to pop/burst a balloon 🎈 silently without giving yourself or others around you a shock. Just stretch and pull the edge to create a hole and hey presto, the balloon lets out air silently. Thank you for the precious life lesson - I am so going to pop balloons in a silent way!

Thanks again Ms Dorcas for sending your students to liven up the Library.

We have just concluded our final eBook Roadshow 2026 at Library@Central yesterday!

Thank you for the tremendous support given by all staff and students, including our HQ colleagues who came by to learn more about the usefulness of our ebook collections in OverDrive through the Libby app. All in all, we had a whooping 308 participants! 🥳

No one walks away with nothing, and we hoped you have enjoyed the roadshow as much as we did. Much thanks to our very supportive lecturers who helped to spread by word of mouth and students who were informed beforehand who tried their best to drop by!

See all of you again next year, and feel free to let us know what else you would like to see. Would love to hear from you!

We started off for the year with the Library’s workshop on citation with students from HN in Business Administration, BL2601B!

📚 The year 1 students learned the basics of citation. Due to changes and update, they are the first batch to learn the most updated version

💯 This was then followed by some quizzes to reinforce their learning - and the whole class got the correct ✅ Way to go, ladies and gentlemen!

🫶We are glad from this workshop, the students have learned how to cite properly, as seen in the verbatim feedback after the workshop.

Thank you, class BL2601B for being so attentive and sporting, and not forgetting Ms Fazlina for sending her class to the Library for the citation workshop.

If you think your students can benefit from attending our iScout programme, feel free to teams Eleaner Ang for more details.

Who else is in love with books with sprayed edges? 😍

You might have noticed in some of our new Fiction book arrivals, we have some beautifully decorated books with sprayed edges. Some of these sprayed edges tell another story of the fiction books altogether - isn’t that wonderful?

Come grab your hands on these books and relish the fun in reading! Remember to “sayang” these special lots while you are reading them!
