We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Estonia on the opening of the new Estonian Embassy in Singapore and the co-located Estonian Business Hub – serving as gateways to deepening trade and investment ties between our two countries.
Indeed, both countries have much in common as small States who have embraced the power of technology. And there are certainly promising areas to foster further collaboration.
Singapore Land Authority - SLA recently signed an MOU with the Estonian Land Board, to cross-share expertise and capability building in to develop creative, citizen-centric solutions that will advance each nation’s capabilities in business productivity, and environmental sustainability, powered through best practices in geodesy, precise positioning infrastructure, 3D Mapping, Remote Sensing, AI, machine learning, and data interoperability.
It is an exciting time indeed to watch this space for both countries!

We would like to congratulate both of our Merit award winning teams: Team FoUr from the National University of Singapore and Team Lakapati from Bicol University in the Philippines for their inspiring projects!
Team FoUr's project, forU, is a travel app that encourages responsible and sustainable tourism practices, by maximising travel routes. This project is an excellent example of how technology can be used to promote positive change and encourage individuals to make responsible choices that benefit both the environment and local communities.
Team Lakapati's project focuses on the image visualization of premature land conversion of rice lands in Matnog, Sorsogon, Philippines. This project aims to raise awareness about the environmental impacts of land conversion and the importance of preserving rice lands for food security and sustainability.
Both FoUr and Lakapati's projects are incredibly impactful and showcase the potential of technology to promote sustainability and environmental conservation. Congratulations to both teams on their outstanding work, and we wish them continued success in their efforts to make a positive impact on the world.
