On 13 and 14 January 2026, our officers from Choa Chu Kang NPC Community Policing Unit (CPU) conducted crime prevention engagement sessions for newly enrolled students and staff at ITE College West. The sessions focused on common youth-related crimes, with officers highlighting the importance of responsible decision-making and the serious consequences of criminal behaviour.

The sessions also included a casual chit-chat segment under the Coffee with a Cop initiative, where officers shared information about common scams and engaged participants in open discussion.

These engagement sessions gave students and staff the opportunity to interact directly with officers, ask questions, and gain practical insights on staying safe and making positive life choices.

๐Ÿ“ž Received a call from your โ€œbankโ€ that later transfers you to the โ€œPoliceโ€?

Thatโ€™s not a usual process. Thatโ€™s a scam. ๐Ÿง

Watch how scammers impersonate banks and the Police, and allege victimsโ€™ involvement in criminal activity.

Scammers would pressure victims to โ€œcooperateโ€ by transferring money or threaten legal actions by the "Police".

Unsure if itโ€™s a scam? Stop. Hang up. Call the 24/7 ScamShield Helpline at 1799 to check.

โš ๏ธ REMEMBER: Government officials will NEVER ask you to:
โ€ข Transfer money
โ€ข Share bank login details or OTPs
โ€ข Install apps from unofficial app stores
โ€ข Or transfer your call to the Police

๐Ÿ’ชTogether, letโ€™s ACT against scams! ๐Ÿ’ช
