Founded in 1956, the Singapore After-Care Association (SACA) was formed to assist offenders, ex-offenders and their families to get back on their feet.

We are committed to the cause of second chances, rebuilding lives and protecting the family unit. Here at SACA, we strongly believe in second chances and recognise that upon release from prison, ex-offenders will face certain problems such as finding work and a place to stay. In addition, ex-offender's families may face several challenging issues like emotion and financial difficulties. Through th

✨ SACA Appreciation Night 2025 ✨

Held on 10 October at the Concorde Hotel, SACA’s Bollywood-themed Appreciation Night was a vibrant evening dedicated to honouring our volunteers and partners. Guests embraced the theme with colourful attire, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The night opened with an energetic bhangra dance, followed by lively table games and a magic show by our emcee. A highlight of the evening was a surprise tribute video for SACA’s outgoing Chairman, Mr Jeffrey Beh, in appreciation of his dedicated leadership and service.

It was truly a night to remember, filled with gratitude, celebration, and joyful moments. ✨

After almost two years in the making, we’re proud to launch one of our most recent advocacy projects - a book entitled ‘When Life Throws You A Curveball: Eight Women’s Journey from Darkness to Light’ ✨ the book was launched at our recent Appreciation Night together with author Rosie Wee, SACA Chairman Mr Jeffrey Beh and Commissioner of Prisons, Ms Shie Yong Lee.

In collaboration with author Rosie Wee, the book shares the powerful stories of eight women who have experienced incarceration, highlighting their journeys through hardship hope and renewal.

This project has come to life thanks to Rosie, who reached out to us with a vision and generously put her time and efforts to make it a reality. We are also especially thankful to the eight courageous women for bravely coming forward to share their life stories with us, infusing this book with even more heart and meaning.

We hope this book will inspire a shift in society’s perspective, helping readers to view those who have moved beyond their pasts as resilient, layered individuals deserving of understanding and compassion. We also hope that this book can reach other women on similar journeys, offering them encouragement and the comforting reminder that they are not alone 💙

We welcome you to share this book with anyone who might find it meaningful or inspiring. Visit https://www.saca.org.sg/when-life-throws-you-a-curveball for the digital version of the book available for free download.
