Dear parishioners,

Greetings of peace.

Attached please find the latest announcement by the Archbishop of Singapore suspending indefinitely all public masses (weekends and weekdays) and large gatherings including formation sessions, retreats and seminars.

Based on this latest instruction, we will postpone our 16 Feb mass and gathering.

Let us continue to stay in touch and pray for all suffering from illnesses especially from the coronavirus. God bless!

In the spirit of thanksgiving we celebrate and pray with Friars Robin, Crispus, Sixtus and Gerald on the occasion of their Solemn Profession of Vows to the Order of Friars Minor.

Thank you our Heavenly Father for the graces you have given them, and for the faith and generosity in their response.

FEAST OF THE PRESENTATION OF OUR LORD

This Feast reminds us that our children belong to God. And we are shepherds of what belongs to God.

As our Friars Robin Toha, Sixtus, Gerald and Crispus prepare for their Solemn Profession, we thank God for blessing our community with these young men and ask God to continue to guide their way. Amen.

SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

What if the Chosen One walks among us today? Will we behave differently?

Today we are invited to see others as God sees - as ones chosen and beloved by God.

JN 1:29-34
John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said,
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.
He is the one of whom I said,
‘A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’
I did not know him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that he might be made known to Israel.”

John testified further, saying,
“I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from heaven
and remain upon him.
I did not know him,
but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me,
‘On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain,
he is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God.”

BAPTISM OF OUR LORD

Today we remember the baptism of our Lord Jesus and remember our own. May we learn to reciprocate the fullness of God’s love for us.

EPIPHANY OF THE LORD

We welcome Fr. Derrick Yap, OFM to lead our community on our journey of faith.

Today we are reminded to be more like the Light of Christ, giving peace and love to all around us. And we can do this with God’s help.

“We have seen his star in the East, and have come with gifts to adore the Lord.” Matthew 2:2

We also thank the Maliksi family of Sonny, April, and Dominic for their service and companionship and pray for a safe journey back to USA.
