Our Army would like to congratulate Corporal (CPL) Rosales Kyle Christian Israel, Admin Supervisor, Headquarters 3rd Singapore Division (HQ 3 Div), on receiving the SCDF Community First Responder Award on 13 May 2026 for his courage and swift actions in assisting during a cardiac arrest emergency.

Recalling the incident, CPL Kyle shared, “I was determined to do my best and focused on helping to save the person. I signed up for myResponder because I wanted to serve my community, and it has been a passion of mine since I first started volunteering. Looking back, I am grateful that I was able to step forward and help when someone was in need.”

CPL Kyle’s actions reflect the importance of stepping forward when others are in need and embody a spirit of service that extends beyond the call of duty. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, CPL Kyle! 🫡

In his opening address, Commander 9th Singapore Division and Chief Infantry Officer (CIO), Brigadier-General (BG) Fairoz Bin Hassan, highlighted the significant progress Our Army has made in integrating unmanned systems over the past two years. Training is the lifeblood of our Army.

On 29 May 2026, the training community came together for the annual Training Hub Workplan Seminar. Chief of Army, Major-General (MG) Cai Dexian graced the seminar as the Guest of Honour.

In his keynote address, Commander TRADOC, Brigadier-General (BG) Pang Lead Shuan, reflected on the achievements of the past work year and outlined the strategic direction for the year ahead. He reminded us that "Training is the lifeblood of our Army" is more than a slogan—it is a conviction that guides every decision we make, every course we deliver, and every soldier we train. The day began with a unique drone soccer challenge, where teams put their drone-handling skills to the test in a fast-paced, technology-enabled competition.

The seminar also featured a presentation from the Head of the Centre of Excellence for Platform Performance (CEPP), Colonel (COL) Peter Chee who emphasised CEPP's mission to strengthen our platform ecosystems, enhance safety, and improve training effectiveness.

Sergeant Major TRADOC, Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Maheswaran Franklin Miranda, unveiled the FORGED framework as the foundation of training excellence: Fundamentals First, Owning the Standards, Readiness through Resilience, Growth with Purpose, and Embracing Innovation, underpinned by unwavering discipline. He also reinforced the ADI mindset (Anticipate, Detect, Intervene), urging trainers to uphold standards, address lapses early, and build a force that is resilient and ready to fight and win.

In closing, BG Pang reminded us: "Training is not just what we do, it is who we are." He called on us to keep nurturing, protecting, and growing the training ecosystem that enables Our Army to deter aggression and defend Singapore. To fulfill the mission, his challenge was clear: To (1) deliver training excellence that prepares our soldiers and units to achieve mission success; (2) transform our training systems so they remain relevant and future ready; and (3) develop our trainers so they can inspire, mentor, and lead the next generation of soldiers.

On 9 May 2026, the Armour Formation gathered at Sungei Gedong Camp to mark the 50th edition of the Armour Road Relay (ARR) — a tradition that has brought generations of Armour warriors together since 1974.

Anchored on the theme “The Force, The Family, The Future”, ARR 2026 saw commanders leading from the front, teams racing hard, and the entire formation coming together in true Armour spirit.

This year’s Golden Jubilee was marked by our formation coming together for the “50” commemorative photo, the participation of defence partners (DSTA and ST Engineering), and the Golden Jubilee time capsule that captured the ARR50 spirit for the next generation.

Congratulations once again to the winners of ARR 2026!

Once Armour, Always Armour!

𝐈 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞.

For MSG Janice, it's about doing the extraordinary.

As an Assistant Senior Trainer, she operates our Artillery's platforms and leads her cadets through rigorous training, bringing a high level of energy and dedication to everything she does. Her greatest fulfilment comes from seeing her soldiers return home safely and stronger with every experience.

"Anything But Regular means taking up a role that isn't the norm, especially as a female. Participating in overseas live-firing exercises and training alongside foreign military personnel are experiences unlike any typical job. What I do, and what I've become, is truly special."

This is her story - told through moments she’s lived and captured.

On 22 May 2026, SAF Military Police Command held its annual Workplan Seminar with the event dedicated to celebrating its Diamond Jubilee with the theme, "60 Years of Pride, Discipline, Honour: The Standard We Bear".

The day started with a heritage tour of the old Mowbray Camp, where SAF Military Police Command's roots began. Walking those corridors was a reminder of how far the Command has come, and of the people who started this journey. Back at the current Mowbray Camp, the Command planted a tree together and reopened the newly renovated Mowbray Lounge. The roots laid are for the future generations of Musketeers to stand upon, while the Lounge is for our Musketeers to gather, rest, and recharge.

Following this, the work plan seminar was held, with keynote addresses from Commander and Formation Sergeant Major, Colonel (COL) Low Puay Kng and Senior Warrant Officer (SWO) Denesh Nisra respectively, citing the achievements of the past year and setting the direction for the year ahead.

Sixty years in, the mission is clear, and the Standards remain high.

Pride • Discipline • Honour

Musketeers!
