🎶Teresa and Marta believe that every young person deserves to be heard. As teachers and UPSHIFT mentors, they support teenagers from Ukraine, Poland and beyond with warmth, patience and care – helping them settle in, open up and believe that their voice matters. 🇵🇱🤝🇺🇦

Through UPSHIFT programme, implemented by UNICEF Refugee Response Office together with partners in Poland, Teresa, Marta and many other mentors show young people that they can shape the world around them. Step by step, they help them turn ideas into action and build a sense of confidence and belonging.

For many teenagers from Ukraine, that kind of support can make a real difference. Sometimes it starts with one conversation, one idea, one moment of courage – and grows into the feeling that Poland can be a place where they feel safe and truly welcome.

This post is a part of information campaign "Resilient Together" carried out by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This is exactly why it’s worth learning throughout your whole life, staying flexible, following your passions, and not locking yourself into just one career path.

The story of Chef Beata Śniechowska from Wrocław — head chef of restaurant Baba — is a perfect example of that. A former PhD student and engineer, winner of the Polish edition of MasterChef, has just earned a Michelin star and become one of the top chefs in Poland!

Huge congratulations — what an inspiring journey! 👏⭐

We had a truly magical Saturday evening during the “Rojak of Sounds” concert featuring Maria Pomianowska, Piotr Kopietz, and outstanding Singaporean artists: Riduan Zalani, Dr QingLun Tan, Niranjan Pandian, Ragha Rajasekaran, as well as wonderful musicians from the Singapore Raffles Music College, including Wang Zuo, Peng Conghui, Zhao Tian, Lu Shujie, Tao Yi, Guo Lanni, and Zhao Ruiwen.

It was a beautiful concert showcasing the universal language of music — instruments originating from different corners of the world resonated together in perfect harmony, telling a shared story through sounds and emotions.

The rainy weather not only failed to discourage the audience from attending, but in fact added a unique atmosphere and touch of mysticism to this unforgettable event.

Thank you Singapore Botanic Gardensfor having us and helping to make this event so special!
