2024 marks the 10th anniversary of our DARE program.
When we introduced DARE, it was a radical new concept of a compact, 45 min, community based CPR/AED training program focused on the interaction between 995 and callers. So different from any training being done at that time, it was totally free-of-charge, fun and relevant for all ages and abilities.
Today we recognise the value that DARE has brought, but we need to change our approach and model, as MOH will no longer fund DARE from March 2025.
Duke-NUS has generously agreed to host the DARE program moving forward. What does this mean for donors? For every dollar contributed, Singapore tax residents are eligible for a tax deduction of 2.5 times the gift value for gifts made by 31 December of each tax year. That’s today!
