From trash to treasure on 🌱
Today, we marked the World Environment Day with a visit to a local environmental organisation in Singapore, .sg 🌟 learning how plastic waste is sorted, processed and given a new life ♻️
Caring for nature and using resources wisely matters more than ever. Seeing how small, practical solutions can make a real difference is a good reminder that environmental responsibility often starts locally. 🏘️
We hope this day inspires a renewed awareness of how everyday choices made collectively, can shape a more sustainable future for the next generations to come. 🌱🌏

Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting the Norwegian built sailing vessel ⛵️
This was a particularly meaningful experience, as the ship not only functions as a beautiful cultural heritage vessel, but also showcases an example of maritime expertise put to humanitarian use. 🙌🌟
When Captain Shane Granger and his wife Meggi Macoun came across the 126‑year‑old sailing vessel Vega ⛵️ stranded on Grenada in 2001, she bore the marks of long neglect. Yet the 80‑footer remained seaworthy, leading them to commit years to her restoration—and to finding a purpose worthy of the vessel 🌊✨
Vega and the dedicated crew omboard have delivered medical and educational supplies to remote island communities in Indonesia for almost 20 years 📚🩹 Some of which are only a dot on the map 🗺️ where access is limited and needs are prominent.
Today, a network of supporters from around the globe keeps Vega and its humanitarian mission afloat. However, with the emerging global energy crisis and fuel-prices at an all-time high, Vega is now even more depended on sponsors and supporters to make deliveries possible. 🤝
We strongly encourage the Norwegian maritime community in South East Asia to take notice: partnerships and sponsorships like this show how seafaring knowledge can make a meaningful difference, far beyond trade routes ⚓️🗺️
